I'm tryingto get ivy to grow up my walls in my bedroom and across the ceiling. Any tips on how to make it grow faster and thicker would be helpful am willing to try anyone's idea and report back to them on how they are doing I found out. Ivied do not like non vented humid areas and the pest that screw an ivy up love the conditions. Any tips would be helpful and no offense will be taken if I'm doing something wrong I'm a oilfield superintendent not a gardener.

I have been reading on some other post about nitrogen helping the speed of the base and leaves of a plant. But it says nothing about the roots. Seems the base and leaves of a plant can only grow as fast as the roots can put out. So what would help in the root development? Also what is a good compose have read a few things on making compose tea and watering the plants with it just wondering about the roots and what not to use in a compose have a pile that have been sitting for years about 8 foot tall and has anything from palm tree limbs, banana peels, and banana trees in it. In the last year or so it has been swamped by elaphant ears and you can't even see the pile anymore

Pottasium is what you should use for the roots.
