hello. Advise me please, can I re-root my old aloe plant which was broken off at its base? It's atleast 3' tall, (long-it laid over the side of its pot, weight suppoted by the floor) with leaves over 1 1/2' each. So sad.

I've never had luck rooting aloe plants but give it a try.

 Yes, you can root it again. The most important thing is to make a clean cut. Dust the cut with rooting hormone, then let is dry for a few days until a callous forms over the cut, before planting. Here is a page about rooting big Jade Trees. It should help you.

This is good to know! My dog knocked over a very large aloe plant we had and it too broke off at the base, unfortunately we threw it out. At least I know now there is another option.
