Lola turned 13 this past June...I wonder what that is in dog years?

Good morning.
My dog, Black Butt, is going to turn 12 in February. But he sure doesn't act like it. When I tell people how old he is, they cannot believe it either. He acts like a much younger, energy-filled dog. I can see that the energy actually comes in shorter spurts than in the old days but he sure is in good shape for an old man.
My youngest daughter broke up with her boyfriend in Los Angeles yesterday. She packed up her car and moved back home. I am not surprised nor upset. And we will go back in my van and collect the rest of her stuff on Tuesday. She is happy to be home for sure. Living with multiple roommates is tough. And her boyfriend really didn't have much to recommend him. She is not heart broken.
Today will be unpacking her car.

Lola will be 13---well times that by 7 and that is 91---
but then right now she is just a bit over 12--so 12 x 7 is 84--so she is a bit more than 84 I guess, if we are doing dog years.

Tina, I am glad that your youngest had you to come home to--it is good for them to have a safe place to be while they are getting their bearings in this life. You are a good mommy.

Good morning. I only have a little over a week before I have to get back on a school schedule. I will practice this weekend by getting up early and driving up the canyon a couple of ranches and feeding and caring for their critters while they are traveling. And doing it all over again in the evenings. I am just glad they do not still have the horses and it is warm and dry.

Just put the baby to bed for the night...it's been a long day, big storm for tomorrow on it's way.

Babies in bed is a good thing after a tiring day. I hope you don't get snowed in tomorrow.
We will have temps in the 70's again (20's C). I am enjoying this weather a lot. But still not getting a lot of stuff done outdoors.

Nope, sold them all...still have 2 work horses though.

Hi Tamara.. welcome back.. and hi to everyone else too of course,
I have been coming by and reading but have been sick so not very good company lately..
We had a good Christmas... Carrie did it all at her house,which was good cause I overdid and my back went into spasm... got over there and had to sit on the heating pad.. took a vicodin and it went away.. but the next day I couldn't breath, ears hurt - glands were swollen... so went to bed hoping I just needed rest- well didn't work- so went to doc and got meds.. it helps some.. can breath again at least- now I am just exhausted...

One of the boys has it too.. hope they all don't get it but don't know how that would work- school is starting again soon so I expect they will get it in time for that... poor kids.. Carrie is still fighting it too and had to stay home with Derek yesterday... felt so bad I couldn't watch them but I couldn't stay awake... meds just do me in.. it's 8 and I am ready for bed- after 2 naps today... good thing I have food cooked ahead-

Just got her down for a nap...it's storming out right now. We are supposed to get 10 to 12 inches by tonight. New Years always comes in with a 'bang' here.

Thanks for asking, an d remembering me. My g girls are fine. One is 5 now an the other is one.......Very active..Guess you know, how active. Hubby didnt live to see Emma the baby.
He would of loved that twice as much. However we cant open the book of life an know.

With the help of family an friends an seed swappers, I survived one year as a widow. Spend the holidays with my son an my sis an 2 brothers an families.. Helps bring some joy, but surel isnt the same.........

I was gifted today.My neice from out of town brought me a truck load of material an notions from her deceased mom in laws house.. She said she wanted to get rid of them . I said I am a sewing nut too...Their here now.. I feel blessed.
I made her breakfast , gave a gift, made 3 pies, made 6 jars of jelly an candy an goodies.
She was happy..Told her to give the 91 year old father in law some.. She loved that.

So I feel good today.

Good evening everyone. Did someone say party? Tamara, it's good to see you! Is DD living with you now? DH is falling asleep, one girl is sick and they are both playing a game. The boy is hiding out in his room playing xbox as usual. I am a fuddy duddy with no friends but I also don't like crowds and going out just seems like a bad night to me. I'll probably drink a beer or two. I have to get up in the morning for a volunteer shift and a race. Should be a fun way to start off the year. The end of the race has a polar dive and I've decided to do it.

I am eating Rhonda's Dip W/ crackers & onion dip with chips & veggies. and oh, I am on my second glass of merlot--well it is "watered down" with soda---I love me a good wine-hi.

I really like house parties with family, but that was not to be this year---so here I am celebrating by myself--DH just went to bed.
