I just went and compared US $ to Canadian $ and we are running very close. So your raised prices at Walmart may be due to import costs and taxes, Tamara.
Teddy is doing great. Still learning things but slowly. He will be 18 in May. I will get a legal conservator thing around then.

Shipping huh??? so sorry for that Tamara.

Thanks for the kind words, in the last CH, Tamara---
but my life is what it is---what could be simple with marie, never is---You do not even want to know the hastles I had to go thru in December with her bank & her finances---

That makes yesterday look like a walk in the park---I do not even want to think what life will be like when I have to begin helping mom like I do for my MIL...Thanks goodness for having a brother & sister---

Moving to southern Missouri is still looking better & better grin

But hey, at least we now know that Cindy is not in some hospital, again thumbup.

Snowing out this a.m. and freezing cold...good day to stay inside and do a few small repairs. Madisson has put a few dents and chips in my walls...and I thought that Little Tikes car was a good idea lol

It sounds like the little tykes car is doing what it is supposed to. Helping Madisson grow and learn. What are a few nicks and scrapes?
I need to go out and shop for a few things today.

It has been teetering between 40° and 44° since 3 AM. I keep waiting for 45° so I can go whack blackberries and stuff, but it appears I am stuck at 44.4°. kilroy

There are three kinds of blackberries here.
French ones with massive stickers
Domestic ones with huge, juicy, yummy berries
Tiny super-sweet alpine blackberries
I can't get rid of them!
They root everywhere that they touch the ground.
You chop them up and each piece roots.
Dig them up and they grow back.
Burn them and they grow back
Dig them up and burn the roots and they grow back
Neglect to pick the berries and they plant their own seeds.

but... they sure taste good!

I loved my blackberries--I had Black Satin Thornless They were huge berries but they were tart and juicy---I just adapted my recipes over the years--They made the most wonderful jam in the world. --I used a jelly recipe, but it made up spreading like jam--YUM!!!!---I got jam by forcing the berries & their skins, thru the juice bag..

I haven't read back because I don't know how long I will be able to stay on here. They are replacing the fiber optic lines around here and causing all kinds of mayhem. Several days ago they busted a major water line and there was no water ALL day. You have no idea how many times I went to the sink to turn the water on out of habit, knowing it was shut off. rolz

Good Morning everyone--it is to be a beautiful day today--in the 60's I think. They said something last night about only a very small portion of the U.S. is having the 'winter weather" like one would expect.

On one hand that sounds good, but on the other, I am thinking it could cause problems--but oh well I guwess it is what it is, huh???

Cindy---I think we should look at your internet problems like this---when they get done, (whenever that may be) you should have outstanding internet, right???

I am just glad to hear that you are ok in the mean time. Dodge is right---better that than you having a problem. kissie

Nope, I bottled up my wild strawberries for jam, tame berries for jelly. I never got a chance to go pick blueberries, I was too sick. Used up the raspberries for desserts.

Hopefully this year I will get a chance to pick more...
