I thought I'd share the kids' school pictures from this fall. I think they were both babies the last time I was able to really spend time here.

Maddie is now 4, Luke is 3. Both attend the pre-school at our church. Maddie goes 3 days a week and Luke goes twice a week. Luke loves being with his little friends. Maddie likes it too, tho she does tell me that she already knows the things her teacher is teaching them (numbers and letters and shapes). It doesn't surprise me. She's started to sound out words she sees now and has learned quite a few sight words here at home. She will most definitely be going to Kindergarten next year. Her teacher says that she isn't sure if she is ready socially because she is soo quiet in school, but that's just how she is. I can't imagine holding her back another year. She'd test right into 1st grade if we did that and would be right with the kids she'd be with next year anyways...so what's the difference.

Luke is anxiously waiting for fall 2012 when he will be old enough to do AYSO soccer. He loves all things sports and is extremely coordinated. He constantly wants to be outside throwing his football or kicking the soccer ball. I was happy to accommodate him, but now it's getting cold outside and I don't enjoy lounging around outside. LOL...so I take him to our church's basement which is a gym and let him kick his ball around there.

Anyways, here they are all 'big kid' and stuff. LOL!

Thanks for the nice comments. Maddie has been sporting a black eye for 3 weeks now. It was almost gone a week ago Saturday, but she was sitting on the floor with our larger dog (108 pounds) and scared the dog. She popped up and smacked Maddie in the eye with her big head and the poor eye swelled and bruised almost immediately. She's getting very tired of people asking her what happened to her eye.

Dodge, Thanks. :) I wish I could claim those plants as mine! But these are the kids fall school pictures. Their teacher at the day school is a photographer and she uses the landscaping around the church for their photos. At the end of each semester, we receive a CD with all of the different pictures she has taken (Halloween, Christmas, Dr. Seuss' birthday, Easter, etc).

Indeed. I can't believe Maddie goes to Kindergarten in the fall! A friend of mine just had a baby and he is just over 7 pounds...the same as Luke. I can't remember Luke being soo small.
