She doesn't get much care when I am in the hospital. My mom will come put food and water through the bars of her cage for her. She has to stay in her big daytime cage 24/7 the entire time I am gone. I always worry she will be dead or something will happen...

It's been in the 60's again today, but raining. February is always our worst winter month here...I'd say in 2 weeks we will get slammed.

Yes and they cut the snow crew here from 13 men down to 5 in the past few years, next year down to 4 and they took away their grader the other day. Soon we'll have to shovel out the roads. The last storm the men didn't have time to clean out all the side streets...people helped clean them with their tractors.

I am sorry to hear about Lola..but at least your mom can check up on her and feed her

February brings big storms here as well,mind you each storm brings at least a foot anyway.

the weather here varies--one year we can have a bad february & the next we can have a very mild one. we could have a mild february & then a bad march--
really here in IL it jsut bad then it is good--never mind the names of the months---A lot of summers it goes form a mild winter to the dead heat of summer all in one week.

if it keeps it up no one around here will ever put away any of their clothes--we will need winter things one day & summer the next---I guess then it will be good to be a Dr b/c everyone will be sick, huh???

Cindy, it is good that yoiur mom can help you like that.

Oh well, we can't change the weather so we just have to go along with it......and complain along the way

The snow isn't a problem, the old Zetor takes on most of the work...but I just know the roads are bad. I hate doctor appointments in the Winter.

It has definately bee strange here this winter, I was outside moving wood yesterday adn nearly lost a boot to the mud, at least it solidified over nignt so it wasn't as bad this mornign, but who know what it will be like when I get home. Its just hovering around freezing now and I think that where it will stay for the rest of the week. Strange Strange Days.

Hi all,
We are watching the weather rather closely right now... mts are under blizzard warnings now- and avalanch warning- we may get up to a foot of snow they say by tomorrow... and it is getting colder too.. they have the plows deploying now.. and sand trucks... I have my wood in the garage just incase we lose power and extra water in bottles... you never know here. It is hitting just south of me right now- between here and the Springs... wind is blowing hard though... so it won't be long before it gets here...

Joe is actually off this weekend so hoping I can talk him into going to the movies... haven't been in a long while and it will be a good indoor thing to do ... any suggestions... ?
Well off to get the tea kettle hot to make the boys hot choc .. they will be cold I think... may make some spaghetti for them too... I made a big pot of beans yesterday in the crock pot.. had chicken,shredded port and turkey sausage in it... was really good... have some left over and all the meat was leftovers so was a good cheap meal too.. will make good lunches this weekend..
