Glad this week is half over,, it's been really busy at work, ( job security ). two people at work are on vacation, so me and another worker are doubling up on our work. Time goes by fast but I'm exhausted by the end of the day

GM all. I would love to say I am going to stay on top of the chatting this time, but I better not make promises I can't keep. Headed to Rapid City (150 miles)today, staying with a friend while my sister is in the hospital there. She is having a "reconstruction" done on her knee. She had it replaced 2 years ago and something has gone wrong...and they don't know what, only that she can no longer walk on it. We are really praying it will work this time, she is only 54 and doesn't want to spend the rest of her live in a wheel chair. I'm thankful every day for my health and the health of my DH, God Bless all, have a great day

Bobbie...hope your sister comes through with flying colors...and hope you have a safe trip there and back.

Diane...I was so hoping you would be cuting BACK on your work hours now. I don't see how you do it.

I decided to stay home today. So no alarms dragging me out of bed early. I have a sore throat and a nose thing happening. But it isn't bad enough to call a cold yet.

Made my very first head shrinker appointment today.

That sucks...hope you get better instead of worse!



I think I had my 1,000 headshrinker appointment today. Let me know if you need any tips...they ask some weird questions sometimes. And that depression scale from one to ten...don't ever say ten...if you say ten here they won't let you leave and put you in the psyche ward for observation and sedation.

I had a good appointment today---got there early & had to go to Kohl's to waste some time. (Don't ya hate when you HAVE to shop.. )
my spine bone is building thicker but my hip bone is not responding yet--but the Dr said that is normal & that hips are slow to respond sometimes. I told her about my cold symptoms & she said if it did nto annoy me to not worry. Then my sister & I went out to eat & did MORE shopping !! YAY !!! it was a rainy but good day !!!

Cindy & Cheryl I hope your Drs appointments went well also....

I'm taking the kitties for a stroll in the woods and then I will be shutting down for the night.

Unless a knight in shining Armour rides by and swipes me off my feet and he is very rich, and wants to take care of me and the boys I will have to work each day until I can't anymore. I do it cuz I don't have a choice.
I've always taken care of my self~ just too independent I guess, and besides
noone has ever offered to take care of me, So I gotta do what I gotta do to survive.

Youngest sis-in-law is here...something is up, back in a bit.

We accidentally left a library book -Cleo's Counting Book - out when we left the house this morning. One of the dogs chewed the corner of the cover off. It's $25 to replace the book. Not good.

Good evening. My time settings have been off in here for a while. I think I changed them now.
I sent a library book back to the library with a neighbor who was going. It was a kid book for my eldest son over 30 years ago. It somehow never made it. (Lesson learned) So I had to pay an exorbitant sum to replace. I think it was $10 at the time. I sent them a check. They sent me my check back with a very nice note asking me to make it out to the proper library name. I had made out the check to "Curious George". Everyone got a laugh.

Hi all,
We have been running around this last week.. lots of errands and lots of hitting the thrift shops for good stuff... hubby was in his element- found VHS tapes of his fav movies for .49 apiece... he watches them while walking on the treadmill.. so far he has watched 18 movies.

We had our Nicoli to the doc today- he has been having digestive problems again .. they finally got to change docs and this one sent him for xrays so hopefully by tomoroow we will have and answer or at least a place to start.. they had to use Kaiser before and they wouldn't do anything for him except recommend laxatives...

Well now dinner is done so have to eat... have a good evening all!

Good morning all, full day of cleaning and laundry here...supposed to start snowing in a few hours and snow for three days. Yay...just what we needed~more snow. Oh well, storms make me want to bake...i'll fill the deep freezer I guess

Good morning. I wish I had someone to clean my house. It is blowing up a big, cold wind out there. I don't want to be up or out in it. Brrr. I chucked another couple logs on the fire and maybe, after my coffee, I will be braver.

feel bad again--looking forward to trying to see if it is the meds that are doing this to me. Sunday is the day that I will stoop using the bone medication to see if it is that or just allergies.

going to leave in a few to go to exercise. Then home to follow Sunny's lead & do some baking.--Have a good day everyone.

Hope everyone starts feeling better. Junie, I don't know what drug you are taking but some of those bone drugs are lethal. I can't take them. They have actually landed me in the hospital because of adverse reactions to them. Be careful!

For no particular reason...

Sorry about that.....with my warped sense of humor and my obvious mental problems I tend to make a joke out of everything. I guess that's my way of coping with all the [BLEEP] I have been through in my life....the circumstances surrounding my late-husband's death (I shot him in the heart with a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun)...that's when I first started going to a psychiatrist. Then...the coma and near death experience I had in Washington was yet another blow to my mental health.

Going to a therapist is not something to make light of, and I feel bad about the jokes about it. I apologize.

I think it may be healthy to make jokes about it, Cindy.--it is a way of dealing with it. I applaude you for having the intelligence and the strength to go to one in the first place---I think sometimes I should go to one, but then that would be yet again another thing to slend money on.

Cindy...a laugh does a person good. I have thought about going myself but have never got to it yet.

Cindy, there is absolutely no need to apologize. I'm the same way as is my husband. If it wasn't for a sense of humor we probably would have completely fallen apart by now. Don't change, don't say your sorry, and keep on laughing.

Just be Cindy.. I liked the Joke....I have a friend married to a Lady shrink.. She is a real wacko.....she runs with a motorcycle gang an acts like hubby doesnt exist.. 2 kids.

Yes, humor is good. All of the time. Well, nearly all of the time.
It has been a good day. And I enjoyed reading over the old topic, Bill. I still have many of those plants but have lost some over the years too.
It does make me want to get out and plant more though. I need to repair water systems again first.
