What's wrong with my leylandii?

Help!!
The spiny stems are drying out and falling off.

What should I do?

Plant is close to loosing its light green color, turning yellow.

Sorry. It's hard to tell when there is no pic to see. It could possibly be from too much/little water or even aphids. How old/big is the tree?
