I was wondering this yesterday. I have a good book on house plants by Reader's Digest and it talked about it. But I thought I'd ask the experts. I've been misting my Dragon Tree daily as it loves humidity and I have my humidifier too. I recently purchased a Hypoestes as well that likes humidity. I guess my main concern is if misting daily is good or if too much misting is bad for plants?

Thanks

I had a fern that I misted daily...until 'little hands' knocked it over and broke it.

I dont think plain water misting hurts them at all.. They love it . Plants in the green house survive on humidity.

I'm not an expert so I can only give my 3 weeks worth of experience.

I've been misting the soil with the seeds and the sprouts daily, and they've grown twice as fast. With my pole beans, they were supposed to sprout in 5-10 days and I got them in 3. By the 5-10 day mark, the sprouts were 5-10 inches long already. Haha. I've been misting my mom's cacti and ferns and they have kept a beautiful color and body. I went a while not misting the daisies, but they started to lose their color. When I misted them, they turned out like the fern. So I give a thumbs up to misting. As dodge says, they love humidity. =)
