Good morning......my air conditioner is not working again. The repair guy last week put 5lbs of freon in it...said he hoped there wasn't a leak because it would be a [BLEEP] to find it...guess there IS a leak. I'm afraid this is going to cost me some serious money this time. boohoo

Darn, you would have thought he would have tested for a leak before he put feon into the unit? why We had to have our unit disconnected and then reconnected several years ago when we put an addition on to our house. After the air conditioner guy had hooked it all back up he put this "colored" feon in and put the unit under pressure, to check for leaks. Hope it doesn't cost too much for you. uhuhh

I thought freon leaks in a house were dangerous to your health?? Hoping I'm wrong. Here they won't fix anything with freon problems..you have to buy new.

Well...he came and tested the freon level...and it is totally empty!
So...there is a major leak somewhere. He left to go get some nitrogen so he could find the leak.

gracious, I think most people are too old for 5am coloring sessions---at least I know I am !!!! and of course your visitor wanted to come early---being at your house is fun!!! thumbup

Cindy, about the freon problem---we had one too--& my freon had leaked out--but yep, they just filled it up, no checking the unit that I was aware of----but lucky me, it was ok & so far so good on the whole unit!!!!

it is cold her now---damp like rain---It may storm tonight is all. This weekend is supposed to be nice though--weather lady said we could plant now---& that she saw no reason why not---I usually have to wait until after Mother's Day... why

Double dang, Cindy. Hopefully it won't take a whole lot to find and fix the leak. I would hate, hate, hate to not have my air in the summer. It is usually nice enough at night that I can open the windows, but it gets way too hot during the day for me to cope with the heat uhuhh

Hope you have a great fix-it guy

Cindy, hope it doesn't cost too much to get fixed. I know nothing about air conditioners as I've never had one. Had a very busy day at work and my legs and feet are achy. Sitting in the recliner with my feet up feels heavenly right now.

So is all your snow gone??? I am amazed at how nice our weather is here....except they are saying snow for Sunday night! But only down to 28 so I am hoping the weather man is right and it doesn't get too much colder than that!

DH has been home 9 days straight now....I better get used to it because in June it will be all the time! He took a few days off for our anniversary trip. He works a very strange schedule. It is a 4 week rotation and I could never do it. Twelve hour shifts....4 nights, 3 days off, 3 days, 1 day off, 3 nights, 3 days off, 4 days, then 7 days off. All the coal miners say it is doable because of the 7 days off every 4 weeks!

Even after 15 years of this I never get as much done when he is at home. But ohhhh when he works nights, I get so much done! haha

Have a great day all, time for me to get to work rspb

thats what mine was last year they came out twice and did the freon and then found the leak, was in a spot they couldn't weld and had to get a new one, got up to 120 degrees inside my house in the 3 days it took to order a new one and get it in. I can't even remeber what it cost to replace but was high.

We can only plant here after the third week in June because of frost..

Bobbie, we still have snow and will continue to get some until May.

What a LONG LONG day...

Good morning. I have no major plans today. I do need to run into town for a few things before it rains this weekend. Today is a nice day though. A blessing.

Errand day for me. I have to take some papers and transcripts to the community college to go with my financial aid application. I also have to go grocery shopping. I've started on the laundry and am about to get ready to go for a quick run.

Afternoon all,
I am finally feeling back to my self some- spent last 2 days being a juror ... first day was 8-5. second was 8 to almost 10 at night... glad to do my civic duty but boy it's tireing... and if you ever have to go dress warm - at least here the court rooms are freezing! I had to wear my coat all thru the trial, and the court clerk gave us a space heater too...
I got my laundry started and boys are here... they are enjoying the nice weather- supposed to be 80 tomorrow - which is nice cause we are doing twins birthday party tomorrow- can't believe they are 7 ... time flies......

Going to start working on my yard on Sun- try to get it back to looking good... may even get some tomatoes started.. would like some good ones this summer...
Well off to finish another load... hope my headache goes away soon - or allergy meds kick in- early spring early allergies I am afraid... everything is blooming here...
and oh yes, the fire close to us is 45% contained... I think they said 27 homes damaged or destroyed... 2 dead and 1 still missing- they are using dogs to look for her today where the fire is out... so sad... we really need it to rain or snow to lessen the fire danger... so early for it to start .
Nana

I am very glad you had a short trial, Nana. And that should be over for a year or so now. I hope the allergies let up soon.
I have so much to do with spring springing and my list is growing instead of shrinking. It is a pain with Teddy turning 18 this year.

Tina--lists--thanks--I need to start mine---I do tend to forget things unless there is a list---so thanks--

Nana yes I hope you get your rain---we didnt get our storm/rain when we were supposed to----

Sunny, I hope that you are NOT getting sick---that would not be good at all...

I am going to scrub my kitchen/dining area floors, then go get groceries & then after lunch I am going outdoors to clear the rest of the one dog pen of weeds---it is a beautiful day---

Good morning. I am checking things off the top of my list but it keeps getting additions on the bottom more quickly. Of course writing a list is easier than accomplishing the goals on it.

Good morning. DH is always making some sort of list, it seems. There's always something he wants to change. Now it's the garage. Again, lol. It is pouring here today. Wish I could send it over to Nana. She needs it more than we do. Not much going on for me today. Mostly relaxing and finishing up the laundry.

Cheryl,
Please if you can send the rain a little later today- need nice day for birthday party...then it can rain and help put out th fires.. though they have it almost contained now- at least the one closer to us... just so sad.. hazards of living in the mtns...
My DH makes lists too- over and over and over... sticks them on fridge and I go thru and take them down and consolidate them and put one back- don't need 10 of same things...LOL!

Well got to get busy... get my house twin proofed again... and finish the tater salad stuff... got the taters cooking and the eggs should be done - ready to be peeled... cake is coming... and one more store run should do it...I hope!

Cheryl,
Send the rain up here first!!!! Then it can make it's way south to Colorado grin Nothing but working here... and taking care of DH when he is on nights. He needs a lot of TLC when working nights...and a lot of patience from me. But I couldn't do what he does so when he is awake I put food in front of him, pack his lunch, turn on the news then send him on his way  Not too much longer for that night shift stuff. We will both be glad about that! Have a wonderful day all flwr

We have enough rain to go around. I'll try sending it to all who want/need it. It wasn't too bad for my run today. Steady but light rain, now I'm showered and cuddled up on my recliner.

Good evening. Still 'under the weather' as I call it these days. I have been asleep almost all day...even slept through most of the Final Four game. (We are ranked #1 in the nation, of course! ...and we did win tonight! Wooohooo!!!!!)

And Kansas just came from behind and beat Ohio State!
It's Kentucky vs Kansas for the National Championship!
Since Angelblossom and Jayhawk are from Kansas I wonder if we could get some bets going on here. How about the loser has to shave their head...???

Good Morning, sorry it is freezing, Sunflowers. At 7am it was 70...but they are calling for snow tonight...only down to 28, so not too cold, but sure hope we get some moisture. I'm watering the grass, softening up our clay a little in hopes of getting the real stuff tonight and maybe it will soak in. Watering in April, yikes We are going to have watering restrictions if this keeps up. tears

I'm off again today for a few days....My sis, yep the same one, had her hip replaced on Friday and everything is going great. Her DH stayed the weekend with her. She is supposed to get out tomorrow and if everything goes like we want she is going to a rehab is Casper. It will be a tough ride for her....5 hours from Rapid city to Casper. But this was the best facility she found and the one in Rapid, well it is affiliated with the hospital and some of you may remember my horror story of that hospital. I like this doctor...he took a sample of her arthritis and is sending it to Mayo Clinic in MN, which is where he used to work. He didn't mention a name, but he said it is not a common type of arthritis. Maybe if they test it further they can adjust her medication and it might slow the progression of the arthritis. I sure hope so!

Sorry you haven't been feeling well, Cindy...any better today? did they get your air fixed yet?

Woke up late, 6:45 was nice to sleep in, but got a zillion things to get done toady. But I did get my DH biscuits and gravy made...soften the news that I was goin to gone for another day or 2! And got him some chicken cooking in the oven so the poor man won't starve!

Talk to you in a day or two, Have a Wonderful Sunday flwr

Global warming at it's finest!!!?

Hope your sister gets her arthritis under control...that's what I am dealing with and every time they give a different medication to try to control it I have a bad reaction and end up in the hospital. I have decided to never try any medicines again...I am going to just have to tough it out and be in constant pain and crippled up. I can't risk the consequences of what the meds do to me. At least I know when I am in pain I am still alive, and I am good with that at this point.

Air conditioner is not fixed....it was bad....BAD bad. Parts are being ordered and it will be fixed some time this coming week. Thank God I don't have to pay for it.

Friday morning: Spartacus woke me up...would NOT shut up and leave me alone until I got out of bed 2 hours earlier than I had to.

Saturday morning: Spartacus woke me up...would NOT shut up and leave me alone until I got out of bed 2 hours earlier than I had to.

Sunday morning: I was having a nightmare about Spartacus trying to wake me up so I woke up 2 hours earlier than I had to. Spartacus was sound asleep. boohoo

Good Morning wavy I slept good last night,, I figured I would I was outside for about 5 hours working the yard. I got more plants in the ground, and spread mulch around. Today I need to plant some canna's that been waiting patiently for me to get out of a huge bucket,, I have no idea how many are in there But I can see at least 6 of them. as soon as breakfast is over we go out side and begin digging,, lol

Cindy,, I have a lot of pain too,, But I choose to tell it to get out of my way,, I've got things to do.
Once I get busy, I don't even notice it anymore...until after, Dr. told me I just have to deal with it,, Don't focus on it,, and stay busy,, so that is what I do.

We had great-for-sleeping cool rain last night. I got up once to put more wood on the fire.
I was diagnosed with arthritis in my hands at 17. That stuff keeps on creeping. But I swear I won't stop moving just because it hurts. So 45 years later I'm still moving, just in a funnier looking way.
