Got a new one for more chatting.
Bobbi, it sounds like you had a blast. I am looking forward to getting my house squared away more and tossing a few get-togethers too.

Afternoon everyone,
I just finished hanging out my towels and kitchen stuff... got Nicoli napping on the couch he has a cold and doesn't feel very well at all since he is napping...

There is another fire here not as big but it's dry where it's burning so they are calling in firefighters from out of state to help put it out... by Ft Collins area , and people are on standby to evacuate...

My neighbor gave me a box of paper plates, plastic silverware and paper cups and a few rolls of paper towels to left over from her last event, whole bunch of bagels too.. sharing it all with the kids, the plates and silverware will come in handy for our family get togethers for sure... I froze the bagels for later that I am keeping - boys will like them this summer...

We made plans with our son to come help fix our fence the second week of June.. Joe is off on vaca for 2 weeks then so we will get as much done as we can then.. hoping I can get him to buy a shed too and get it set up to keep our yard stuff in , really need to get it our of garage and give a little more room out there.. we will work on getting our plants in when we get back from Az.. will have to be pots mostly this yr cause we are on water restrictions already,, snow melted way to fast this yr.

Well off too see if I can pack one suitcase for 5 days for both os us... trying to keep the baggage fees down.. LOL!

Good grief...I know several of you on here have fires a lot in your areas....this would make me a nervous wreck. nervous

I am back from Lexington (doctor, again)...I'm not good for anything after these Lexington trips anymore...just lay in 'the chair' the rest of the day.

Keep safe, Nana. The fires are worrisome in drought situations. I am busy scalping my weeds around my house too. Keeping it all a little further away and giving firefighters room to roam.

LOL! you may get a shed before he will agree Sunny... stubborn man... told him if we are going to stay here we should make it so it's easier to be do stuff here...
Just got back from King Soopers.. it's a krogers grocery store- only one that sells the skyride tkts to the airport.. 40 dollars for round trip for 2 .. when we first got here it was 8 apiece... but a whole lot cheaper than parking at the airport for sure.. that was 140.. for 5 days... ummm no way!
The fire here isn't close to us at all , just feel sorry for all those people- the last fire the reverse 911 system didn't work properly to tell people to leave so thats why 3 people died in it... they worked hard to fix it and have tested and retested it so hoping it works now for the people in danger now... haven't heard how its going today- been running around to much..
Joe is out mowing the yards... he will deep water everything tomorrow night ... and our neighbor will water once while we are gone.. we didn't plant yet so it's just keeping the grass alive... restrictions don't start till the first so we can get the pots done when we get back.

Well off to fix some dinner... have a good evening all!

Have fun with your sister, Carol, sounds like a wonderful way to spend a Wednesday!

I laughed out loud about your weeds, Sunflowers! For several years we used Trugreen, but with DH retiring we elimated that luxury...now I am hoping I have the skills to keep my grass green and weed free!!

On my way to Denver myself today to take the youngest back to the airport, I should be passing your way about 4pm. I'll wave, Nana! Hope you get your shed, and WOOHOO you are getting your fence and having all that help!

Well best get a quilt started before I have to leave.
Have a Great Wednesday all,
flwr

Safe travels, Nana. I wouldn't want the heat in Phoenix right now. 90* is hot enough for me here.
Lots got done today. I am happy.

Just a few min to check in before I start the countdown to the ride to the airport... all packed except for the last min stuff... got to eat breakfast when it's been long enough after my meds..

I am not to anxious to be in the heat either Tina.. but it won't be as hot as later in summer so better now.. hotel has a nice pool too and I plan to spend some time in it..LOL!

Well off to get my breakfast and start the show on the road... have a good day all!

Half my pole saw work is done. Today looks like a checkmark on the plus side. My arms, however, feel like shaky rubber. It will be a day or two before I lift that saw again. I am so out of shape.

I read something in the paper just the other day that 50% of the time if you protest the insurance company's decline of a claim that the insurance company will pay...they just hope we will roll over and take what they have to dish out. GL at the PT office.

My trip to Denver was long but uneventful. There sure was a lot of smoke across the interstate near the fire near Ft. Collins, CO, guess it is turning out to be a bad one tears Glad you aren't very close to that, Nana. Have fun in AZ!

Had my prep day yesterday and in today for a colonospy. I feel ok this morning, just a little drained, oh, but last night badday shock

Happy Friday

Bobbie, drinking the prepared water mix is worse than the colonoscopy procedure itself. I have to go every year...just the smell of salt water makes me gag now.

Hope it works out for you Cindy...

I'm sorry Cindy. That makes no sense. Maybe you can appeal the decision? That happened to me, too. ~Beth~

Cindy--I also "heard" once that the people that work in an insurance companies office are told to deny a person 5 times on some claims--& then on the 6th time they can say yes--so dont give up any too soon....

When I got to PT this morning she said I was approved for that...she called the insurance company and they said the denial was for my pain management. I have an appointment there Monday and will be appealing this...in order for the pain management I have had to jump through so many hoops already I am not giving up quietly.

perhaps when your DH is home he could help you by watching the little one for you while you get some "outdoor time" ?

after my coffee, I have some watering & humming bird feeder filling to do, then I will be off to check on my "Grandkitties". BUT after that I am going to the big nursery that is near their house & see what kind of plants I can find. Sadly I only need a few yet this year...

Have fun with the grandkiddies/kitties, Sunflowers and Carol. I feel great today, yup the prep was the worse part, ss you have to do this on a yearly basis, Sun uhuhh

I've been chopping for almost 2 hours this am!!! Had extra fruit and vegies from Bountiful Baskets, so made a fruit salad with a honeydew melon, 2 papayas, a pineapple, a pint strawberries, 6 apricots, 2 kiwi and I even had a lemon to squeeze over it! then it was on to the many brussel sprouts....got too many for us to eat, so I cleaned them, blanched them and got those in the freezer. Then I made 2 quarts of salsa,,,had tomatoes, peppers and onions that were begging to be salsa! Whew, now I'm hungry...

Have a great Saturday!! flwr

Bobbie, your fruit salad sounds delicious! I agree that the prep is worse than the procedure and the prep has gotten better, in my opinion. My first colonoscopy was awful, the second one was a walk in the park comparatively. I'm on the five year plan now. I do have to get an upper endoscopy every three years though. Those are pretty easy, I'm just not very cooperative with the drugs they give you and instead of falling asleep, I fidget.

I got myself outside today and cleaned up what I didn't have time to do last weekend. Got the front area all weed whacked, along with the side of our walk way. Trimmed the neighbors plants off our side of the fence, moved some dirt and grass that the kids accidentally buried the oil tank tubes in. I planted my veggie seeds on Tuesday so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that.
