I got this Hoya ( a start) from one of my best friends right before she died, she had it for years, I then had it for several years and started a piece for Lynne. My Plant since died and My Friend in NY started a piece and sent me a piece( starter) back to Tx,, it has doubled it's size this summer. I took it outside and kept it watered faithfully and kept it in the shade with little dappled sun. Thanks Lynne for bringing this plant back in my life, in Tonia's Memory :ding: BTW I had Never taken it outside( the other one) for fear it would be too hot, But I took a chance and kept it under a shade tree. ![[Linked Image]](http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss241/2thtek2/toniashoya.jpg)

WOW Diane - that plant looks so very healthy!!! You have taken such good care of it!!! I am so glad you still have a piece of your friend, Tonia. I bet it rewards you very soon with blooms - you always do so well with plants! By the way, I sent some cuttings to Jillie in Calif. this past August, so now your friend's plant is also growing in that part of the country. Isn't it wonderful to see how she is shared amongst friends?

Yes Tonia would be proud, she loved house plants- her home always looked like a jungle, all her house plants were Huge! thanks for passing her around Lynne Im hoping in the spring some spurs will form if not I'll just wait it out,,

Nice hoya. Its sad when people in our lives die, I lost my first- my biological mother the year I was labeled autistic at 12 years old. I didn't grow up with healthy houseplants, Got into them later on, I tried growing aloes and jades as a boy but I over watered them, then in junior high pothos and arrowhead vine. Those did better until they got to large.
