Still praying for all in need.....

placing my name on the prayer list. got the shingles on my neck ear and head....its killin' me. i guess it wasn't an ear infection after all. owweeee :(

I was telling my cousin yesterday that I have only known 3 people who have had shingles (one of them my mommy)....and I have seen it and have seen the pain.
You are in my prayers.... I have seen it and how bad it hurts.

I thought about getting a Shingles vaccine...but not too sure of that now.

when i walked into the clinic today, there was the big poster advertising the shingles vaccine. you never think it could happen to you, but i guess if you have had chicken pox, that virus never leaves your body. the doctor said it was an opportunistic re-infection but when you get the shingles version it's cuz something else, like stress, or a latent infection, like bladder or urinary or even food poisoning can lower off your immunity enough for it to rear it's ugly head. the only thing i have ever had that hurt this bad was a scorpion sting. so, yeah i would say, if your doctor thinks it is a good idea for your age and med history to get immunized...go for it. the doctor today said that they always have a surge of shingles in the fall.

Cindy, I would talk to my Dr. if I were you. My DH & I just got our Shingles vaccination last Saturday. MOnday and today were not good days for us but like he said--the crummy run-down feeling we are experiencing is far better than having shingles. I have known of some people that had it for a whole year. and you can get it more than one time--yep the vaccination is well worth it in my opinion.

Shingles is common here...and I have never seen the shingles immunization available here yet. My God daughter caught chicken pox last year when her boyfriend took sick with shingles.

When Cindy woke up the other morning, her eyelid was stuck to her eyeball, due to her sjogrens disease. She pulled it apart without soaking it like normal and managed to tear a pencil eraser size hole in her cornea and her brown eye is now blue. She went to the doctor this morning and has to see a specialist on wednesday.
Please say a prayer or two because she is in a lot of pain and is very worried about the possibility of an infection to her eye.

Prayers for Cindy and a fast recovery with that eye.

Once again am asking prayers for family members. My DIL Andra and Granddaughter Bonnie and great granddaughter Kenzie were all seriously injured in a wreck all going from Amarillo to Dallas last night Andra was flown to Lubbock with a ruptured spleen and other less serious injuries Bonnie was taken to Quanah with spinal injuries , Kenzie was flown to a hospital in Wichita Falls with broken left arm and broken nose and dislocated Hip. Andra was driving when her blood sugar spiked and she passed out and wrecked the car totaling it. please pray for these precious members of my family and PLEASE IF YOUR DIABETIC TAKE YOUR MEDICINE AS DIRECTED so you don't wind up like them Once again a terrible end of old year and beginning of new year that has plagued our family since 2000. Thank you all in advance.

Thanks everyone just found Bonnie was transferred to the same Hospital Kenzie is in. Andra is in the Lubbock hospital over 100 miles away. Jolene (another granddaughter) called and told me all this Andra had also broken her ankle and is in surgery right now. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts will update as I find out. Love you all...

Andra is out of surgery and in recovery. They are talking about removing her spleen Bonnie will be in a back brace and going through pt. Kenzie had her arm set and her nose taken care of (how ever they fix a broken nose) will try t put her hip back in place ether tomorrow of Monday.

Update...Kenzie & I r headed home today. My mom is doing ok but we were just told she has torn some muscles in her back & has some broken ribs. She was eating breakfast & so far her spleen is healing. Surgery is still possible but on hold for now.

Just found out Kenzie my great granddaughter has to have surgery on her broken arm. Does not know why the hospital did not find this out.

Diane needs your prayers she is sick should have been in ER this morning promised me she will go first thing tomorrow sounds like she has a lot of chest congestion. Me and my family are all sending our prayers
