If I remember right,, when I lived at the other house my clematis blooms a couple of times for sure,, I know it was in the fall and mid summer,, maybe more than that, I just don't remember. Last spring I planted several of them but the only one that made it was the purple one that bloomed yesterday FINALLY!,, Hopefully next spring it will come back and be stronger and grow bigger

Purple would be jack o me or something.
Mine was just blooming.. Light Blue bloomed 2 or 3 times.. So did Nellie Moser

Around here clematis usually only bloom in the summer but the flowers stay a long time.

My purple clematis is blooming now too. It got really cold, for us, for a couple of days and now it's warm again.
