Happy Mothers Day everyone! This week for me has been pretty much "Mothers Week", I've brought my mom out to dinner 3 different nights and bought her several little things (an angel plaque (that was supposed to be a stepping stone in her garden but it's way too thin to support any type or weight) from Amazon, card, etc) and even bought my son's mom a card and some flowers...

james--I must say it was a great thing you did getting your son's mom a gift----since your son is so young he could not go out & buy something so it was good that his dad did it for him--that teaches him excellent behavior as much as it helps him to do a nice thing.

:ding: :ding: :ding:  Just got home from the church Mothers day breakfast an it was great. All the food an goodies we wanted, plus a huge potted plant an a gift besides. All we wanted to eat. Served by the men an boys an cooked by them. Lots of laughs. Iput a carnation on my moms grave. Wishing you an yours Happy Mothers Day to you.

Barb that sounds like a great Mother's Day !! Congratulations.
WE were still at my youngest DD's house as they finished up moving into their new house today. My SIL's step dad went to get some take-out & they and my DH & I split the cost. There is enough left-overs for My Emily & Chris to have supper at least tomorrow, perhaps the next night as well.
Emily was so wore out that she fell asleep at the dinner table---so when she was done eating, we sent her to bed for a nap.
THEN My Valarie came home at around 9 PM from spending the weekend with her DH & his family. She came in with a pot watering froggie for me and a very nice card. That took me by surprise as she had already given me a ceramic tart-warmer watering can as my gift, before she left for the weekend.
(PS...she is staying with me & he is staying at their new house down in southern Missouri as they need their current house in St. Louis to be empty so they can list it to sell (so no dogs there), BUT in the mean time she has to finish teaching school until the end of the school year before SHE moves.--so I get to have her closer to me for a while--& I am loving it.--and added Mother's day gift I say...
