This weekend will be Super Moon weekend.
A super moon - called a "perigee full moon" by astronomers - describes the moon’s closest approach to Earth for a particular month. The June super moon will be the moon’s closest encounter with Earth this year. On June 23, the time of full moon will take place within an hour of the time of perigee. So, the June 23rd full moon will look larger than it does in other months.
Tonight Tre took this picture,, not bad for having not held that camera before.

Great pic Diane I will probably miss it news said between 8:40 and 10 I will be in bed then if I do like normal.

I had also heard about this moon, though we will probably not get to see it Sunday, as they are once again predicting heavy rain. OY!

I just went out to let my dog Dante go to the potty---& guess what ?? The stars were out & I saw the moon !! it was not real close, but it sure was bright !!! I have 2 photos, but they are nothing like Diane's, but at least I have them for me to remember with---

well I saw it late last night when it was finally clear, as I said...But tonight all I got was seeing it light up the thin clouds in a few areas---again, thanks so much Diane
