Hello everyone! I'm Priyanka and I'm from Canada. I'm very new to gardening (container gardening infact. I live in an apartment without any outside space) and I have started with several tropicals (after doing a bit of research of course) in hopes of being surrounded by the green and colourful flowers year around (and not feel miserable during the winter ). Except for potted Phal orchids (and I have killed a couple before) I'm totally new to this and need ALL the wisdoms and cautions that you all be so kind to throw my way!

Hello Priyanka welcome to the garden forum. I started out with house plants too, and through out the years made my way to a place with a yard and I've been in the yard ever since, tho I still have house plants You have a nice list of plants already,, would love to see some pictures of them

Thank you! I will upload pics as soon as I can. The place is looking much livelier since I got them! I do need some advice regarding them, such as keeping the leaves clean of hard water stains/spots (my water is quite hard. I've tried lemon juice on some last night and vinegar + water on the rest of the plants today. They seem to work well but I don't want my leaves to suffer due to the acids you know?) and preventing leaf tear/tips browning (I've experienced them before).
