:wink:well this was a God's Wink,, I went the site in my area to adopt dogs on the "list" that only had a few days "left". I wrote down two i'd' #'s, but also saw they would have dogs at a petsmart near me, so I decided to go to PS first. One of the dogs was already there,, I inquired about the other dog on the list, it was already gone . So WE adopted Cody ,, But we renamed him MILO,, ,and he was microchipped and neutered yesterday , so he still has to heal. Emmy is going spastic right now her tail is wagging sooo fast ,, He is 2 months-9days old.. He is growling right now while Emmy circles his crate I'm guessing she is letting him know SHE is the Boss,,
I promised the boys after the first of the year we would go adopt a dog that was on the D list and that's what we did, teaches the boys to keep a promise, and teaches the boys there is life out side of humans that we are to be compassionate about
so here is MILO,,, Chihuahua mix I believe he will be taller than Emmy,,

exactly!! rescues are my favorite breed. Glad Emmy has new brother they look so good together

when I woke up I found Tre sleeping beside Milo's crate,,later Tre said he knew he couldn't take him out so Tre just put his fingers inside the crate and Milo just laid his head on Tre's fingers and went to sleep

now that is sweet---you are raising some fine boys there, Diane---and milo is a cutie !!

Got to met Milo today pictures don't do him justice such a pretty and friendly boy. Took a little coaxing but finally he made friends with me.

Thanks Carol Jimmy I can't figure out his coat color,, sable? I think sable,, with white across the back of each shoulder blade Like angel wings, :wink: .Tonight he tried to play with Emmy, but she wasn't having it,, she came and sat with me, and buried her nose against my leg, A little at a time each day and she will be fine
I really need to invest in another camera so I can get better pictures

yes, it will come with time--
Emmy is likely just a bit confused right now---she will come to see that she now has a special friend of her own. Everyone just needs to make sure to give her lovin' while they are making sure Milo feels welcomed into the family.

I agree !! I would say its sable mabe a kittle tan mixed in.

That's what I keep telling the boys,, not to scold Emmy because then she will resent Milo, and we want Milo and her to be Best Buds. Emmy likes to be held, especially right now, I will hold her, and Milo comes to me for Lov'in, I don't pick Milo up, but I pet him, and tell Emmy "it's okay",, and she nuzzles into me, Milo takes her toy and Emmy lets him, Milo will take it right out of Emmy's mouth, and Emmy STILL lets him, I told the boys Emmy senses he is a baby and doesn't want to hurt him, at least that is what I think, ?

Awwww so sweet! Wonderful of you to rescue Milo, Diane!!! He and Emmy will become best of friends - I am sure of it, what with your patience and kindness.

So cute about Tre sleeping next to the cage with his fingers inside. Sounds like he is growing up to be a very sensitive young man - terrific!

Milo watches Emmy a lot,, When she is at the patio door and wants out she Barks a certain way,, he can be in another room and when she does that bark he runs to the door and waits to go outside with her, they both take care of Business and he waits for her to want to come back in ,, KUDOs to Emmy for helping train him to "go" outside
When Emmy has her favorite toy,, Milo tries to get it,, Now I just have to say NO Milo,, and he comes to sit with me,,, Looks like he is going to be easily trained, GOOD BOY!

Thanks Lynne,, the one thing Emmy is not Liking is when as all puppies do, rough play,, Emmy will tolerate a few minutes of it but when she's done, she is DONE and she snaps at him a bit. He keeps on going, it really makes her mad,then I have to separate them. Emmy is set in her ways now, and not used to rough play, and Milo has a LOT of energy

most of you will remember Emmy Loved to play with Butter Bowls as a puppy or any plastic bowl for that matter, and now Milo does as well,,

He watches her so much,, I hardly have to train at all,, Emmy is a Great teacher, from potty training , to discipline, to play time

Oh how cute! Yeah I remember the butter bowls...Emmy had always been so funny. I'm sure they will be good friends.....but Emmy will still be my favorite.

So cute - how could we forget the butter bowls!

It's been a few months since I've updated,, Here is Milo now,, growing strong and fierce. He is opposite of Emmy,, she will let anyone in and knows NO strangers loves everyone,, Milo on the other hand doesn't like strangers, the only person he likes besides us is Jimmy
But he is a sweetie, and cuddles up to take a nap , and sits with Emmy and plays nicely with Emmy. He will take a toy and push it to Emmy's face and they play tug of war a lot with tails wagging,

Milo is looking healthy & happy, Diane, a real sweetie, I am sure. It is nice to have a Dog around that will take over the roll of "watcher" for the family.

Now we need a recent photo of Emmy.

That is the most gorgeous picture, Diane! He needs to be on a calendar or something! Definitely entered into some sort of animal photo competition! What a sweetheart!
