We've been experiencing a real summer this year. A couple days of cool and rainy weather but that's about it. I get my training schedule for the new job today. My current job thought it was the hours but I explained it was the benefits. They're happy I'm not quitting though. Not much else going on here.

YAY we got rain today! and Winds knocked over a couple of plants, and it was like a steamer out side, But who cares,, we got rain YAY!

Good afternoon, been a beautiful day here...77 degress right now, beautiful out. It is going to be in the mid to upper 50's for the next 4 nights...then it will be 61 Saturday eve. That is just crazy!! But I like crazy!!

Summer is finally turning up the heat in my desert. I did get most of my acre cleared of weeds and dead brush while it was still cool enough to work. It is almost time to begin at the beginning again to keep it up. But I feel I have about as much buffer between my home and wildfires as I can legally have. It is my bedtime. I wake early and I didn't nap today. Sweet dreams all.

I'll try send some rain to you Tina and Diane. It has been raining here everyday..thunderstorms as well. I need at least 3 to 4 days of dry weather to cut and bale my hay. Not going to happen anytime soon.

Good Morning all, I just finished feeding all the boys..(they slept in) including hubby- French toast, eggs, sausage, tortillas, orange juice and coffee... hubby cleaned up... so all is good.. got one in shower and one on computer.. other one is watching the news... it's a long day already... We have another couple cool days this week then back to 90's for the weekend... I am liking our Aug so far... my roses seem to like it too, they are blooming like crazy... Well off to get the next one headed to shower.. then get air beds deflated and blankets put away again... so much fun... Have a good day all! Nana

I always wonder about the season ahead, Carol. I was hoping it would be an El Nino year and SoCal would get more rain. That is not looking so hopeful about now.

Good almost afternoon everyone. Working today with a lady I really like and am going to miss when I start the new job. Our temps have been high, consistently, for us. A real summer and I'm looking forward to fall and cooler temps. We may get rain the next couple days which will cool things down a bit.

As I've said before, since I started working with my boss 4 years ago, I have never taken a vacation, just a couple of days a few tiimes. Sooooo, today I requested a vacation starting 9/2, the week my sister comes in. No response back as yet, we'll see. I believe that today Shirley, Diane, Sunny, Tina, Carol, Cindy, Nana and Cheryl have posted, so I will say good night to all the above lovely ladies...how did I do Carol? Good morning Diane and Shirls. Wondering if I can head over to Nana's for breakfast? I wish I could send you some of my rain..we have been getting the worst thunder storms with rain so bad that it is damaging the roads. Today it is freezing outside, just like we'd get in October...heavy winds as well. It is supposed to be a sparingly dry day, hope so..if it can dry up some..I am heading out to cut grass in my Fall jacket

Good morning. I have been up all night. The neighbor's dogs were tearing up everything in my basement last night trying to get to the stray cat that has been living in there. These are the same dogs that killed my 9+ year old cat last week.  My good neighbor said she saw the dogs run my cat out of the basement and were trying to catch it the last day I saw it..but it made it to the big garage and through the cat door. But, they ended up getting it in the middle of the night. I need a nap...and to calm down before I call the neighbor. I should have called them at 4am when I was standing in their driveway.
