Here's wishing every one a good week this week,
Julian was put to bed @ 8, he is still in there Heavy sighing trying to get to sleep .
OH Boy I bet he will sleep early tomorrow night because I'm getting him up @ 5:30 as we have to leave the house @ 6:15 First day of school is going to be a tiring day for him.

Diane, you have sure got it together!

My grandchildren here went back to school on the 12th !
And I don't have to stay home this year to pick either of them up from the bus

Friday evening I'll be walking down to the field at the high school with them and my son for the first football game of the season. I'm excited.

Today is going to be a beautiful day and I am going to wash some clothes and towels and get them hung out on the line this morning.

I only just realized the other night that it is getting dark an hour earlier than it was. How did that creep up on me, I wonder?

In Nov. I am going to be a great-grandmother!!!
She's just out of high school and I know there's going to be a lot of this going on in the family. I'm glad I'm here away from all of that.

Good morning. This morning I am hoping to get some of my firewood cut. At least before it gets too hot. Around me, to the east and north,there are flash flood things going on from remnants of a Pacific hurricane. I would like some of that rain here. I would gladly put off cutting firewood for that.

I have been watching the fire situation in CA. I was hoping that a few good rain storms would help you all out on many levels

Congrats on the great grands Shirley. I have great grands in their teens they ether call me grandpa or as one 2 year old calls me great grandpa. In E-mails they all call me ggpa.

Jimmy is ggpa, oh I love that too!!!


Tonight I made my daughter's dessert for September & put it in the freezer. she always thinks I am going to forget it...
(for Christmas she asked for a "Dessert of the Month" gift certificate.)--I told her she had to give me a list though, so now the baking of the desserts is easy.

Good Morning,, Not so hot today, was supposed to be in triple digits all week Not gonna complain I'll accept anything under 100

This morning I am doing a rain dance for Tina..she can have all mine, and hoping Diane can send me a little(now remember I said a little) heat.

We can't get three days in a row of sun here. I am so scared that I will lose my feed, it is wilting and will have no nutrition left in it in another week or so. It takes three dry days to make and process hay.

Today will be a day of preserving once again...it feels so good to slowly see my preserve shelf filling up.

Diane, your weather sounds way too hot for me. We have been having an early fall-like weather. It's been perfect. Got a lot of walking done to take advantage of it.

Sheri She married her Pastors son, She had 3 children from her previous.. I have total 6 three boys with me, she has 1boy 2 girls, and they want one more, welllll he only wants one more she wants two more in fairness to the one will have someone to grow up with since her first 3 kids are older now :wink:

Sweet dreams all. I really haven't killed myself with labor. It has been too hot to really work. I did fix dinner in the crockpot today and stopped at Home Depot for toilet fixits. My toilet is no longer running. It had a bad flapper a couple days ago and although I fixed that it began running this morning. I decided it needed some new guts before it got worse. It is working well now.
It is my bedtime. I am working my way towards my pillows.

Tina, you may have not killed yourself, but you sure are one busy lady----

Off topic: Why is it that the older your children get...they more misery and worry they cause for their parents??

I don't know why that is Sunny,, but it's true in a lot of cases.

I actually slept really good last night...not really any more in hours, but a better quality of sleep.
It must have been a shock to my system because this morning I am groggy and woolly headed. This coffee is going down gooooood!

Good morning. I really have no plans in the expected heat the next couple of days. When the humidity rises, my evap coolers don't work as well. So I don't either. I did sleep well.

Happy Thursday morning---I need some coffee...


Sunny: About kids---I dont know either, but yea it happens---just wait a bit--we will hope things change for the better.

Diane: A 3 day weekend--YAY___(not)---DH is not social & with the kids so far away I didnt go ahead & plan something.

I do appreciate that you get 3 days off of work so you do not have to start your day so early though Congrats...

Shirley: Funny about the sleep thing isn;t it ?? I got 7 hours last night & I am here to tell you that I feel like a Mac Truck hit me..

Please pass the coffee... I slept longer than usual last night and feel like that same truck hit me... doesn't do to have more than normal sleep I guess... even though I needed it...

It has been a long first week of school.. Derek had a prob with one of his classmates.. the kids in his class all have problems.. this one threatened him and scared him to death.. but he did go to school again the next day.. the teachers and principal are on top of it though and moved him away from Derek.. surrounded Derek with empty desks or kids he trusts... prob solved.. he now won't ride bus though so we will be providing transportation... Nicoli is doing well in his class.. has matured some and doing well... he has actually grown and gained weight too so that is a sign his tummy problems are resolving... sure hope so... Timba on the other hand has symptoms of appendicitis.. but not enough to make them take it out... so he missed 4 days already cause he was sick .. think he went back today and doc gave him an excuse so hope they don't give him a hard time or give Carrie one... the rules say 5 days of absence and it is considered truancy with the 6th.. Carrie is stressing out so much.. 2 doc visits an ultrasound, and a ER visit... working and trying to keep them all on schedule.. not an easy week ...

My son in law is doing alright with his chemo.. makes him very tired but is tolerating it okay... still got my candles lit...

We are still waiting on my great grand... now she is off the meds to keep her from going into labor and now she is not going into labor... and my Mom was GG to my her great grands too...but think I will just stay Nana to all... G-Na just doesn't sound right to me..LOL!

We had work done on 2 of our vehicles to get ready for winter... hoping that will be all for them... maybe tires too later on... our weather has been so hot its hard to imagine it will be snow season soon, weather guy said will be extra snowy this yr too... we need it but hope it stays in mtns for the skiers... they said today we had 45 days of over 95* so far this yr and today it's supposed to be 97*.. our normal would be 85*.... hope we get some of that weather before it gets cold...

Gracuois Sherri, there sure is a lot going on----I am glad the school is quick to take care of problems--I am sure things will go better for Derek because of that. Glad Nicoli is doing well. I hope it continues.

I hope they find out waht is going on with Timba soon..that must be scary in & of itself, never mind the school being rediculous about it.

I just spent a wad on my car too. & before wonter we will also need tires--it seems to always be something, doesen't it ??

High 90's here today---& it is supposed to break triple digets today & the next few--or so they say...Sunny, you need to send some rain this way... :wink:

Speaking of triple digits that's what we have, I really feel sorry for Tre with tennis class 6th hour and another hour of practice after school. He says he feels like he could pass out at times. He takes 4 bottles of water just for that class and after practice. When I pick him up( cuz he misses the bus after school due to practice) he is totally wiped out and very thirsty. Last two days I've stopped and got him Gatorade on my way to get him. Today he had tears in his eyes, apologizing for being a baby about it but just doesn't understand why they have to practice at 103 out heat index 107 while the coach stands in the shade I told him fall will be here soon, tough it out and let the coach know when you feel light headed and request to sit for 10 minutes or so, Or I can call the school,, He said no don't call, I'll tough it out but He did agree to let the coach know when he was light headed.

Diane let me know what time and where I can arrange for gatorade or water for him

everyday after school at the tennis courts at Arlington High school,, Tomorrow they dont have practice,, I will talk to you about it in the morning on the way to work okay??
