I'm quite confused on how to take care of this little pup. Does it need high humidity? What are it's watering needs etc. Plus an id would be nice as well.Thanks. Btw it doesn't even have roots yet. [Linked Image]

I have never had one of those, so I don't know much about them, except little water, bright indirect light, and moderate temperatures. Do not over-water.

TEMP:
High temperature (above 75 F) may be required to bring plants into flower, but average warmth (minimum 50 F) is OK for foliage types or plants in flower.

LIGHT:
Most Bromeliads require a brightly lit spot away from direct sunlight. Pineapple and the Earth Stars will thrive in full sun.
Water:
Never overwater, and ensure that there is good drainage. Keep the central 'vase' filled with water, use raiwater in hardwater areas. Emty and refill the vase every 1-2 months. Water the compost only when it dries out. With non vase varieties keep the compost moist, but never wet.

Humidity:
Mist leaves in summer. Feeding through the leaves is the natural method of nutrition, so occasionally use diluted liquid fertilizer instead of water in sprayer.

Repotting:
Rarely if ever.

Really, they don't live long? I've never heard that. I don't have houseplants so I can't say for sure but seems people have them a while.

Post a picture when it flowers please.

me either Sheri,, Mine lived a long long time, several years in fact,, only reason it died is because I neglected it,working too many hours and taking care of Dwight before he passed,, and it bloomed more than once too. Depends of what kind of bromeliad if they will bloom more than once, and nope I don't remember the name of mine.

Regarding humidity, is it critical? And the pup doesn't have roots yet.
