I don't know that I had an expectation. I'm sort of sick of this show though.

This series actually made me thinking about how huge the planet is and how tiny is the chance to find The One and stuff. Most people are not as romantic and patient as Ted and give up after a couple of disappointments. That's why the divorce rate is so high these days.

That's all pretend on tv of romance. It doesn't happen that way at all.
Divorce rate is so high because folks today have no moral values.

I still like to watch it, for the entertainment value.
I do think that it has gone on far too long though.
I think they should have let Ted find the mother a season or 2 back & then gone from there.
Also, if you had of shown me a million girls I would NOT have chosen this one for "the mother" but oh well, perhaps she is a good actress.

Actually, she's okay, but Ted has been waiting for her for so long and has to come through so much crap and wrong chicks and all so I was actually expecting this girl to be almost extraterrestrial.
People often ask me why I love this show in spite of predictable and old jokes, and the answer is it's probably one of the most inspirational and nice shows on the TV these days. Seriously, every time I hear the first tunes of their main theme (http://mp3pole.com/search/hey-beautiful-the-solids.html - isn't it legen...wait for it... DARY?!) I have a feeling that everything is gonna be ok!

I expected "the mother" to be way more involved this season; it's been what, 3 episodes and we've only seen her in one?

yep, James I think you are right. And, if I have it straight, the whole last season will be the weeks leading up to Robin & Barney's wedding and the wedding itself--& I guess the night afterward----so in theory she could not show back up until say the last week or 2 of the season ???

And so help me, Robin had better marry Barney.

It was on TV all day today and I don't think they actually got married did they? They went through all the motions but I thought they didn't go through with it.

Did they get divorced? Cuz like I said it was on all day, I didn't watch every one, but I saw where they were planning their wedding, then I saw where Ted was talking to his children and they told him he loved Aunt Robin and he went to see her with the blue horn in his hand.

yes there was one last show (or part of an episode) way down the line, Barney & Robin got divorced and so there was a meeting of most everyone (I think) & when ted found out that Robin & barney got a divorce,Ted took off, got his horn & went to see Robin...I think that is where they left it...I think this all may have been in one of 2 alternate episode endings?? that or go online & see if you can find the last episode of HIMYM & watch it.

Thanks junie. Reruns are on one of my cable channels all day long every day so sooner or later I'll watch them all. I never watched the show when it was on weekly but now while I'm sitting at the computer I'll watch a show now and then. It's pretty good.

Who Barney? If he had loved her he would have been better to her. She said he flirted with other woman right in front of her. Now Ted really loved her. I'm glad they ended up together.

Yes barney. I felt like he was just so bored being a "do nothing husband" so he could follow her around...but yes I do suppose that Ted did end up with his true love.
