We'll be having a small amount of downtime later on tonight so that I can upgrade the forum software; the new update is primarily security and coding updates and no new features. For anyone that's curious, there is a changelog available here.

Also did some modifications to the Stop Forum Spam software that I wrote (well, the incarnation that made it into the forum software) to thwart "Sleeper Spammers" (people who register who seem legit, but then come back months later to mass-spam communities); the login page now checks against the Stop Forum Spam database for user IP addresses.

why in the world do people want to spam anyway. No one likes a spammer. I have often wondered that. It makes NO sense to me...nor does it serve any real purpose. (to my notion)

why in the world do people want to spam anyway. No one likes a spammer. Makes them and the people they work for money and increases traffic to their site and promotes their products.
