So first I must say I am a rambler

First off love the garden gnome forum logo

I play Disc Golf and there is this course in Vermont that has lil gnomes hidden everywhere..I love visiting this place and finding the gnomes...it is also not easy to find a gnome to buy..well at an actual store as I find buying a gnome should be done in person..the cool thing is me and a friend scored 2 awesome gnomes at a bargain basement type of place..so next years trip to Vermont for the annual event will be extra fun..

love gnomes

well anyways onto gardening

My girl is loving indoor plants of late and I encourage that as I enjoy them myself
We also semi recently had a baby girl..I think the above mentioned goes hand in hand

I wanna do something cute and special..so I want to have them both plant a "Peace Lilly" from seed and watch it grow insert awe's here___

I google searched buy peace lilly seeds and etc etc and couldn't find them for purchase and it just led me to how to's but I don't know anyone with any peace lilly plants to get seeds

Then I thought about it and said I don't wanna just buy em..I wanna have a story behind the seeds

So I googled indoor plant forum and here we are...seems cool will prob be at least a lurker lolol

I would like any info on where to find/buy/etc some "peace lilly" seeds

Look forward to some responses

Thanks

Hello, nitebloom. I have no peace lilies nor much of any houseplants. I just wanted to welcome you to the forum. We have been known to have some fun as well as some good info. I am also a bit of a gnome collector.

yeah it seems they are almost in the mythical plant category

I will have to check out some pics of the plants you mentioned...

but I think at this point my mind is preparing for the challenge

weird how all google hits bring ya on "how to" but not a place for actual seeds

if you are trying to make a memory---why not buy a plant for your daughter & make it a family project to learn as much as possible about it & how to care for it together---That or get a cutting or a small start from a realtive & then grow it into your own plant.

I have various plants that I started from cuttings that I took from a potted plant/gift that I recieved when my daughter was born. will be 34 this spring.

I too welcome you to the forum.

The problem is we have no family where we live for hours...and all our friends are well not plant people...so a cutting is prob out of the question..well for it to have attached meaning

plus something about the entire seed to plant process interest me a tad more then the above mentioned

I do like the other plants mentioned in above prev post..but for some reason my stubborn mind is now set on peace lilly

thanks for all your responses and welcomes

hopefully that magic person will view this

I searched too. All I could find is how to harvest seeds from the plant. As Dodge said, it is not an easy thing to accomplish.
