I saw a blue one in a book I have Although I must say, I am not really too good at birds, sad to say... Thanks. But you know what, I've seen a picture of a woodpecker that is similar. Our trees are in bud. The problem is that this tree is around a bunch of other trees that look the same when in bloom but they don't put out red buds likes this. Strange.

They stay here pretty much all year. We usually don't see a lot of them until April though. This is the strangest year.
