Good morning. Late start for me today. Stayed up late and went out with friends from work. I got an email from a home care agency wanting to meet with me. Should hear back on Monday. Fingers crossed. One more shift tonight then I'm off for two days. Looking forward to it. Meeting a friend and her baby for a run on Monday. I haven't seen her baby since he was a week old, he's almost 6 months now. Time flies. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Cheryl: I will keep you in my thoughts & I wish you luck on the job...

We have my MIL settled in her room. Funny thing is the lady that lives accross the hall used to live across from Marie at the Glenwood. That will be good when Marie gets stronger...

When Marie is stronger she can begin therapy & hopefully get back to the Glenwood.

I am glad Marie has a built in friend when she is ready to socialize.
Good luck, Cheryl.

Evening all,,

Brought in some snacky stuff for us to share.... crackers and different cheeses... some mini rolled tacos and salsa..
some baked chips and a veggie plate too with some nice low fat dip..

I spent the day with Carrie- figuring out her bills and trying to make up a budget for her... she is feeling overwhelmed with all the doctor bills... so we made a plan and hopefully it will work out for her...

We are 70*right now... tomorrow it is supposed to be 37* for the high.. and snow/rain up to 8 inches of snow if it snows... and almost that much rain if it doesn't... we will see what it does.... my body says it will at least rain... hopfully this will be the last snow for this year....

Well off to check and see if my bedding is dry...and then go put dinner in the oven....
tacos and rice with beans...

Good Morning,

Well almost afternoon.. the abrupt weather change must have did me in- I slept till almost 10 this morning- slept thru hubby and grandson going to work... it's cloudy and raining right now- snowed a bit earlier but rain melted it away...it's cold too.. thinking I will make a pot of stew for dinner.. and some rolls... something to warm us up..

I hope everyone has a good day... think I will get some cleaning and laundry done... start my crock pot ... gotta go pay a few bills first ... may make a cup or two of tea first...

I hope that you do not get much snow, Sunny.

I didn't get much done today. I did trim Ted's hair and get him bathed and shaved for school tomorrow. Still need to trim his nails. Then I cut my hair and showered as well. And we have clean bedding tonight. I so love Sunday night clean beds.

I do hope that dog food is going to be auctioned and not served at your church dinner. That gave me another smile for my day.
Cheryl, we all need laid back days to rest from life. Today was mine too.
I have already set my alarm. Looking forward to bed time in another hour or so.

Gald that I could proffer a smile--they are needed.

IMO I think such days are a necessity...

Dante woke me up to go outside--but I think I had enough sleep, so it's all good.

I am glad you have a nice Monday ahead Tina, could I interest you in taking some snow? lol

I am so sick of this messy weather.

I chuckled also while reading the dog food for the dinner, I agree smiles are needed more these days.

Matching scarves and hats are very nice things, Cheryl. Running later? I think of you every time I see gluten free foodstuffs and recipes.
So glad to hear that the dog food is not for dinner, Carol.
I took Ted to school and his teacher put in a request for colorful feathers. I ask most days if they need anything. So I stopped at the grocers on the way home for fresh bananas and bread then drove to Walmart. No feathers there.
I stopped at the cheapest gas station I know of in the area and paid $4.11 a gallon. The whole time kicking myself for not filling up on Friday before everything jumped up. I'll go to Michael's before going to pick Teddy up again. It is only a little out of the way but, hey, I have a full tank.

LOl yes Cheryl. a scarf to match the hat will be nice--(and as a bonus help keep you warm)

Tina, you are a good Mom & a good person. good luck on finding the feathers.

yea, sorry about the gas. last I looked it was $3.65 here, and that is bad enough. But you are looking at it right--at least you have a full tank to do your extra errands with.

Dang, Tina.....I have thousands of feathers (I have kept all Lola's molted feathers...15 years worth!)....but her feathers aren't colorful...just grey, and a few red tail feathers from time to time. If they were colorful I'd send you a huge bag of them, all different sizes.

I miss Lola so bad.... tears
She has been sitting in that room by herself for 28 days now, trying to hatch those damn eggs. She gets out about 5 times a day to poop and eat a bite, then wants right back in there with her "babies". I think I will go to Tractor Supply and buy a few chicks and throw them in her cage...lol

It is Ok, Cindy. I found lots of wonderful feathers at Michael's. They are bought and delivered. And they were on sale. Last year I bought a lot of brown ones to make turkeys and owls with. And I know at least one package of colored ones too. But they could not find the colored ones. So I bought 6 packages today. That ought to be enough. School is out in a little over a month.
Would Lola kill chicks or try to mother them?

Been up since 2:30 am. Dante has gone to just barking when he has to go out. He was too tired to go out when I went to bed---I guess 2:30 sounded like a better time for a walk outdoors. rolz

I hope to resume my rest in a few...

yes--good to see you popping in to post as well.

I finally went back to sleep at 7 am & got up at like 8:30. So if nothing elses I will get to spend some time at ceramics.

I didn't get to see the blood moon--but did see it bright & white at 5 am---I thought it was overcast before that--well, I was wrong--- why

I wish everyone a good day

I slept through the blood moon last night too. It was very clear here and the moon was clear and big.
Still working on some spring cleaning around here. It is much needed.
