Yes it does sound like a lovely day, Nana....even with the snow...

Today, I did some work out in the garden, my Valarie posted a pic of me on FB & said happy Mother's day, & when Emily saw that she was not going to make it over she texted me & said Happy Mother's Day---so it was good. Then Rod made his own lunch, and after we went to see his mom he took me out to supper & then out for ice cream. The place we went to, to get the ice cream, gave me mine because I was a Mom.

I am tired I must say....

Nana has been sharing her weather with me also...I can't wait for a few dry days to get my raking done. I figure I'll just rake around the few snow banks that are still in my yard

I found out how to get Dante up. I just put a treat in front of him, just out of his reach. he has to get up to go & get it. Then after he has eaten it, I make him go outside.

SHHHHHHHHHHH Don't tell anyone, but rumor has it that I get to stay home today. I am afraid that if that gets out, I will get a phone call.

Sorry Sunny we still have snow coming down... so far 6 inches on the ground and trees are bent over from the weight of the heavy snow.... 19* right now, it's brought with it the aches and pains.. don't like it much but it will go away when it warms up..

We had a family mini crisis last night,, Derek's guinea pig died ,, he is very upset...so he won't be going to school today... I will go over there in a little while and see if I can get him to come here... hoping his little dog Franklin will help him get over and handle this...

Well have to go get my breakfast and start moving some... have a good day all... !

Sorry to hear about the guinea pig. Good morning everyone. Working both jobs through Thursday. I'm hoping to find someone to work for me on Saturday at my full time job as I'm dog sitting and need to be home to feed the dog. Finishing my coffee before it's time to go in to work.

I got my son off to school and stopped to shop. I didn't take a list, just went with lunch bag stuff mostly. Got home and realized there were a few other things I shoulda....
But that is OK. I need to go out to pick Ted up again later.

The only thing worse than NOT taking a list is taking it & not getting what was on it. (that is MY game...LOL )

It has not stormed yet--maybe that is good, maybe that is bad...

As of yet, all is quiet here. Going to sleep soon. G'nite everyone.

Good morning. Today is going to be very hot and very windy. A hold on to your hat day and watch for wildfires. So that is what we will be doing between running the kid to school and such.

Yes there was no storm..I did see that we had rain last night and it is overcast & "drippy" today but hey, so far no storms.

Good morning. The fires are scary but none are nearby to me at this time. It is still hot and windy though so we will continue to watch. My thoughts are with the firefighters for their hard work in the heat and the single digit humidity.

Sunny: Yes the storm missed us, & we only ended up with some rain--about 8 tenths. And yes, the other night the chief meterologist even said "they thought this was going to happen"...I guess they are getting smart in their "old age".

I am glad the nastiest of the storms missed you, Carol.
We are all ready for school but a few minutes too early to leave yet. I am not so fond of hurry up and wait times.

Slept for 2 more hours, so while I am still behind in sleep, I will be ok for most of the day.

I think I will go have a cup of coffee while I decide what is on today's agenda...

Ted is at school and I stopped to shop before coming home. I put that away and have pork on the crock to make pulled pork sandwiches for dinner tonight and beyond. Trash is out and other such household tasks. I will be taking my older son to n appointment before picking up my younger. Life is good when I'm busy.

Lunch is over and dishes are soaking in the kitchen.
meat is thawing for supper and I have made a list of "to do's" for today.

cold here---we had the A/C on yesterday & the heat on today--Crazy--I am now glad that I have not changed over our closets. BRRRRRRRRRRR

that is nice of you, Tina. If it is too hot for me--NP. I will just get up early, do my outside work & then stay indoors in the heat of the day, -- either with the A/C on or in the basement...

First let me say that this rain & such IS NOT ice or snow nor is it sub zero weather, and for that I am eternally greatful.
BUT having said that--I do not care to drive in heavy rain & drive often I must. So hot is the preferrable of them all.

Good morning. Last day of school for Teddy this week. Next Thursday is the last day of his school year. It has gone kind of quickly.

Our boys will be out of school soon too.. the 28th is the last day... we are going to our oldest dd's graduation tonit.. she has taken classes off and on for years to get her degree and now has it.. very proud of her accomplishments... she also starts a new job tomorrow...

Nicoli is doing very well lately- no attacks for awhile, hope the added supplements are helping him... and the meds are finally taking effect.. hopefully this will end for him soon, or at least get easier.

Derek has been doing a lot better too - going to school daily and has promised to try and go the rest of the year.. they are having a picnic tomorrow and he wants to attend that- big step for him to be in a big group..

We are finally having better weather, snow is gone from out yard and it's sunny and warm today.. 66* sure is nice .. now the areas that flooded last year are waiting to see just how much water will come down the mtns and how fast... sure hope they have a better year this year..

Well off to start getting ready for tonit... it's not to far away so that is good... will take the boys home earlier than usual tonit...we have to be there by 7 so will give us time for dinner before..

Congrats to your eldest daughter, Nana. It is an accomplishment no matter when it is done.

Nana: Sounds as if your whole family is moving along in positive manners. But, I want to send out a special congratulations to your eldest. It is like Tina said, That is a praiseworthy accomplishment no matter when it is done.
