Good afternoon. I would like to go for a sausage dinner. I may have to make my own.
Moving right along today. Getting things done for a busy week ahead. I like Sundays and Mondays for that fresh start feeling.

My feet hurt, but I am home. The Church served 200+ less people today. Glad this is done for one more year.

Good morning all...still raining here.

SIL was in a car accident this weekend...on her way to pick up her DD's birthday cake. So I spent the weekend covering a work shift for her(home care) and having a birthday party. Luckily she wasn't hurt too bad but she needs to rest her back for a few days.

I swear it's just one thing after another here.

Good morning.
I hope she recovers quickly, Sunny. She is lucky you could help her out that way.
I hope everyone has a safe and lovely Monday. I plan on it here.

Good Morning! breakfast

Tina, I will rest. No, no left overs (they sell them rolz) BUT I did buy 2, 1 qt. containers of Cranberry Salad, that my family loves. One will be for Thanksgiving & One will be for Christmas, no matter where I end up.

OH MY, Sunny. I am glad that your SIL is ok and yes, so glad that she had you to help her. Family is a wonderful thing.

It will be a slow restful sort of day for me, even if it is Rod's Birthday.

Happy Birthday to Rod. You're going to make him a nice dinner? Can you give me an idea of what is in cranberry salad? And how it stores for a month or two?

well first, I am going to put it in the freezer, it is good(read long) lasting, but not THAT good.
It is 2 kinds of Jell-O, apples, oranges & celery.

I think the recipe is down in recipes. I will go look see for you. If not, I will put it there tonight.

and yes I am going to make him a nice dinner. He is not much for doing things plus it is a work night.
he will have spaghetti with a meat sauce, salad, crescent rolls, and a cheese cake with lemon topping for dessert.

Oh, he will like that. I have never frozen a jello based dish. I never even thought of it. I have made a few jello based cranberry dishes though. So thank you for the idea.

If you ever make it, you will not see a Jell-O salad. The Jell-O is just a type of thickening agent/flavoring. it spoons on the plate much like a thick applesauce.

I will type it up tonight and put it in recipes

Well, tonight--I get a call from my SIL who lives closest to us. It seems he thought I should have let them know when our Sausage supper was, as they LOVE to go to it.

Now in order to "redeem myself" I have to find other Sausage dinners for them to go to. lol

I made homemade egg rolls. It takes hours, but they are good. I ended up with many for the freezer.

Someday I am going to try to make those. They sound so good when you talk of them.

Going to bed soon...at least I should do so.

G'nite, sleep tight.

Good morning...I missed the forum party I see, it's nice to see a few more familiar faces around.

Happy belated birthday to Rod, I hope he had a good day.

I love homemade eggrolls, I always make them for Christmas...as well as taco, donair and pizza rolls. Now I am craving them lol

Good morning. wavy
Well, I don't have to cook today...I still have vegetable soup and egg rolls left over.
I didn't sleep last night...at all. Hope when I get these pets taken care of I can sleep for an hour. Cats are fed, Lola is eating potato chips on my shoulder...which is always nice (not) because the crumbs go down the back of my shirt.

Ah a nap--sounds good to me. I went to sleep around 2:30 am & got up a bit before 8 am. Then I ate a very filling lunch, yes, a nap sure sounds good to me.

We are having a beautiful day here...My thermometer says it is 67*F outside, and we have a gently warm breeze. This is a wonderful way to have a fall day.

Aubry's 1st grade had a Halloween program at school. It started at 5:45 so people could come straight from work and was over by 6:30. Perfect amount of time for a 1st grade program.

Not only do we change our clocks this Sunday, it is also time to check your smoke alarms.
I put new batteries in all of mine today. It has been 2 years with the same batteries. My carbon monoxide alarm is a plugin sealed unit so I can only test that.

Ours are wired in so no batteries needed. BUT I do wonder if they have battery back-up for in case of a power outage. I will have to ask Rod about that.

I was thinking of putting up a reminder thread this Friday.... why

Do yours have a test button, Carol? I have always wondered about that as well. And then, how do you turn them off if something sets them off?

well if "I" set them off when I heat up grease to high in the kitchen, we just go down & trip the switch in the electrical box labeled for the smoke alarms. You just have to remember to go back down & set it again.. lol

Rod says there is no battery back up. If the power is out one just has no smoke alarms. He says if the power is out, you will be aware because of other issues at the time. why

I guess James put the time change notice up on the forum.....

I have several wired ones here; the ones on the addition are networked together (one goes off they all go off), but they all have buttons to shut them up and test them.
