Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

OK I'm here. I was there but now I'm here.
I just wanted to tell Tammy I didn't get my pak sent out. Tho I'm sure she has plenty. Had to replace our hot water tank today. The dryer last week. Whew. Good thing for tax refunds.

I found Tammy's spring fling post, it's //www.agardenersforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/2730/Main/138/#Post2730 She said that only 18 of the registered 41 people have sent in seeds. She needs to know if anyone has sent there's and it hasn't showed up yet. That way she knows if she needs to wait any longer or not.

I'm here. I'm not sure where here is but I'm here. The perennials have been sorted and put in everyone's envelope. The annuals are sorted. I just finished doing that. Next I'll get them in their envelopes. Then it's just the veggies and herbs and they will all be ready to go out. Hopefully that will happen on monday but I need to go fight with the county so the seeds may be delayed. I'm sorry all this happened in the middle of the seed exchange. It wasn't what I wanted to happen.

in regards the postage partygirl yes you did send it. Sorry it took me so long to respond. Thankyou everyone that sent extra postage. That really helps so that our friends outside the united states can join the seed exchange. And thankyou so much for the foreign stamps my friends will love them. And some of the US stamps as well. You'll notice that your getting regular stamps back. That's because I save the fancy ones for my stamp collecting friends.

PlantQueen did you send your seeds in? I can't find where I wrote down how many seed packets came in from you. Yours, Triss's and Lorena's are the last few to be ready to go out so please let me know as soon as you can.

plantqueen please tell me how many seed packets you sent in. I can't find the information here. As soon as I know I'll stuff your envelope and get it out to you. I don't know how I lost the paper attached to your envelope with that information but I did.

Everyone with a few exceptions your seeds are in the mail.

Kennyso let me know when you want me to send off your seeds and your new address when you get it.

Lorena as soon as you get me the information I requested I'll get right on your package.

Njoynit would you please verify that you sent in 100 seed packets? Plus of course the goodies.

Thankyou for your patience everyone. I didn't plan to suffer through a depression while the fling was going on but that's what happened. And I just don't do that well when that occurs. Hopefully everyone got what they should have. If not please let me know and I'll do my best to fix it.

I believe I had about 18 seed packs Tammy! I guess I didn't count them exactly so it is hard for me to give you an exact number. But anything close to that will be fine Tammy! It is not a big deal! Sorry to hear about what you have been going through but hope you are starting to feel better! Summer is right around the corner and hopefully that will make things look up for you!

Kennyso your second package arrived. I've filled your envelope and will just put it aside until you are moved and settled in.

Plantqueen your package arrived in this batch too. Funny how sometimes a package will take a long time to arrive. I've filled the envelope and sent it out today.

Suzydaze your package arrived too. I filled it and it will be going out tomorrow.

It seems like I have to many seeds left over. So if you feel like you didn't get enough seeds please contact me and I will send you some more.

Oh, oh! Now I'm just dying for the mailman to get here. Where is he? Darn it! He won't be here for another hour or two. How is it possible that you guys get morning delivery? I've never lived anywhere that got the mail before 1 or 2 pm. You lucky ducks.

It would be nice here, if it weren't for the wind and the mud. It's rained everyday for a week. I'm not complaining though, I love the rain. The mailman just went up the block, so I'm holding my breath until he comes back down--probably a half hour. grin

I can't believe all the seeds I got. I've already planted a few outside, even though it isn't past the last frost date. I'm not concerned. I can mulch if I need too.

Tammy, you did a great job. YOu got so many plants off of my wish list--it's amazing! You must really be one organized and motivated gal to have gotten that much accomplished. Good job! Thanks!

winter sowing does work great.I had doubted it at first thinking I didn't get enough cold.I didn't do nearly as many this year as last year (I cleaned seed box last year)I've been sowing seeds this week direct sowing.I just found my missing zippie of marigolds. One of my points on my hex bed has a Dr Suess brugmansia and a bunch of marigold sowed.I sowed a whole envelope of Tammys Hollyhocks.(The unknown pink or yellow that grew for 4 years....it has not returned this year.)I can not believe all the butterfly's out this year...even seeing baby butterfly's.I can't wait to see what all I get.

Wow they really did arrive quickly for some of you. Hopefully that will be the way it is for everyone.

I did some planting for a friend of mine. She is getting 12 of the Sweet William Tomatoes, 4 Bell peppers, 1 Coleus and 1 nice bushy Purple Passion Plant. She helps me get around all the time so I wanted to save her the effort of buying plants when I have the seeds. She did by some pole beans and some pansies but still I think I saved her quite a bit.

it appears my French Dwarf Marigolds, petunias, and bell peppers were a flop this year. I'll have to figure out what else I can start. I think I have a different type of petunia to try and different bell peppers too. I think I'll try something different than the marigolds this year. They draw the spidermites like there is no tomorrow.
