Hello everyone, I received a message from Valarie, Carol's daughter, today. Last night they where celebrating Mothers Day with carol and she had slipped on some wet flooring and fell. She tried to catch herself but she just twisted her body further.

She's been to two hospitals and seen several doctors and she's going to be requiring surgery either today or tomorrow for a broken femur where they're going to be inserting a pin. The hospital she's ended up in is nationally recognized so she should be receiving excellent care while there; though Valerie said that they've been extremely kind thus far.

They don't know if Carol is going to be able to login here from her tablet or not, but if she can't we might not be hearing from her for a little while.

Let's all keep Carol in our thoughts and prayers; especially today for Mothers Day.

Prayers for Carol's quick recovery. And prayers go out to her family as well. It is trying times for all.

We have great Love for Mr Bill an he always treated us like family here.
Even took some of us into his home to visit. He show such great respect to each person here.

All I know for sure is I do not know much and i could be out and in hospitals / rehabilitation facilities for several weeks, if not months.

Thanks everyone.it really means a lot. This is hard. and I have been sick a lot, so I would know. Having you guys to "have my back" so to speak, helps more than you could know.

I am glad. I know you are fretting over things like your house or the things you do for your mom(s). Try not to sweat the small stuff and concentrate on getting your legs back.

Carol,
You have helped lots of us in our sorrows an cares, and we want you to know were here for you .........
Just think about healing ( which you will) And think about the good times we had on here an we will have more.

Just remember if god brings you to it, He will bring you thru it. ;o)

Barb you were exactly right.
I am home, and for the most part well. Next Friday I will be going to my surgeon and I will get the staples removed from my left leg and we will see what he says about "fixing my right leg".
Who would have thought I would need all of this medical equipment that we kept for "Just in case" ? But I am glad it is here.
Mind you the left leg is not healed yet, and it still hurts off & on but hey, I have come a long way. And I appreciate all of you being there for me.

Carol did you know the right leg had a fracture last year?
Left leg will take a bit of healing but it eventually will be ok, with little pain.
My sis had hip in 3 places bolted she say its almost painless, just have to watch the movements.. However she has 2 bad knees that do pain.. 80 years ol.

Glad you going again an you will survive the 2nd one if needed.........Good girl..

I was looking over the Forums tonight & stumbled upon this thread.
I feel I should finish the story for those of you that do not know.
I did indeed have the 2nd surgery on my right Femur on June 9th. Dr. does not understand why it didn't hurt more than it did before surgery, as it too had had some stress fractures. It healed much faster than the left one did. Now (in November) I still have a bit of trouble with the left one, but it is a LOT better than it was in the beginning. While I am still going to see my surgeon for check-ups, I am glad that this is all in the past.

I again must thank all of you for being here for & with me while I was going thru this. You all made such a difference for me in my recovery.

Well I am sure we are all glad and happy you have healed and are doing well... prayers are answered...
