The only way a green house can survive here is with a wooden structure and a slanted roof with windows installed in it. It also needs to have an oil furnace for heat..that is the main reason why I do not have one. In the long run it would pay off but the cost to get started is just not foreseeable.

I cut my hair myself as well...I used to go once a year to get things evened out but they don't do any better at it than I do so why bother.

That makes for a good day starting with a warm blanket.

My dog is 15 years old. He is pure white with a black rear end. Hence his name, Black Butt. His age only began to show within the last 3 years or so. It is just now getting worse. It makes me very sad. He's happy enough still.

I remember Dante doing the same. He too was happy. I can still see him look ahead as if resigning himself to the pain when he had to leap down the steps to go outside to potty. Rod finally built him a ramp so he could get outside & back easily. He would walk down it but not back up it.

The loss of a pet is hard. We had to put down a horse this Winter, we tried all what we could to do for her but she had been in such poor shape when we rescued her that in the end euthanizing her was the best option.

Good morning. Today Teddy is going out with his oldest sister to do something fun. I'm not sure what yet. But something out and about that includes lunch. I am going to stay home and mop floors and things while no one is here. I am blessed.
Tomorrow begins his first day of summer school.

That is very nice of your daughter to give Teddy a special day out. It will be good & fun for them & it will give you some time to get some extra work done. Good all around.

It has been a good day. The kids are still out on the town. Almost three hours. I made my chicken salad and ate some of it already.

That sounds so yummy; I'm just now to where I can eat solid foods (yay soup :/) from surgery last week, I'm finally feeling semi alive now lol.

I made taco's the other night for dinner, and it wouldn't have been so bad except for all of the chewing required; had quite the night with that one...

Well I had quite the day. Emily brought by Luke & Micah for a visit. Luke brought me a page of coloring he had done, and a Get Well Card with a dog on it.

Then our pastor came by.

No garden work , too wet here, so I took sis flower shopping . She spent $98. wow.
We got flowers an soil for her front of the house, preplanted an all we did is transfer them into her large pots........She is a recovered hip breaker. 3 places, so I help her put beauty into her home.

She was happy.. I talked her into a white rhodendrum bush her purple was dying.
White is so pretty.

I managed to get Teddy to school, bank, 2 grocery stores, gas station and all my food home and put away in time to turn around and pick Ted up from school again. I'm tired.

I have to agree with Tina--I will pray, but I will also be laughing...

How Carol is doing. My incision pulls at the staples during the day. At night I get to sleep about 4-ish hours in one stretch.

I made supper tonight. Rod asked me what he could do, I told him, so he sat down & read his e-mail. So, I finished the supper. he then acted like I had done HIM wrong. yea...right.

He then vacuumed the whole house..and he went to bed crabby.
It is a real shame what all Rod has to go thru during this..SMH
I offered to vacuum the livingroom, & he turned me down..

I can walk with the walker. In the mornings I need to lean on the walker harder than later in the day. The exercises the PT lady gives me does help loosen me up, I will say.
If I could get outside, I could drive the car as my left leg is the one affected, and I am not really taking pain meds, BUT I am afraid to go down the stairs by myself. So I sit here all day. I do need to start taking a nap. That would be the smart thing.
