My alt key has stopped working unless the num lock is on. I've researched and done what is said online about going to the settings app - ease of access and so forth without luck. Any suggestions?

Is this on a Laptop keyboard or a standard replaceable keyboard? Do you have Sticky Keys enabled?

Desk top keyboard. I guess it's standard.
No Sticky Keys are not enabled.

You wouldn't happen to have another keyboard you could plug in and see if the keyboard is the issue?

I do not. I don't use the numbers or the Alt key alot so I can just keep it on lock. According to what's online a lot of people have this same issue.
