Canada Day here...and pouring rain.
My Aunt's DD was supposed to get married on the beach today...they were lucky enough to be able to hire a room at the reception venue as a replacement ceremony space. No kids allowed at the venue though(a posh country club) so I am staying home with the kid's. There are a lot of people not attending though because of the 'no kids' rule.
I'd rather stay home anyway.

ah we had that problem with Ian during the week Emily was here for my MIL's funeral....I did not know who to feel more sorry for..her or Ian.... The girls & henry were used to sleeping here, they had what was familiar beds for them here.
Well I made Rod a dessert so he would have a treat tomorrow when he was home alone--As I am going to be gone spending the day with my cousin again--YAY for days out.

Tina....the humidity that comes with the heat is just awful, I do hope you can keep your house cooled down.
More thunderstorms for today. I wish Mother nature would settle down for a bit....I need to go wild strawberry picking this week.

Good morning. I slept pretty well. I will go out and shop and bank this morning. I could have done it on Friday, but heh, I didn't want to.
It is still a dry heat so my cooler is still working for now. If it becomes more humid the cooler is less effective.

WE had & are still having a day, sunny "warm" day today. I think it was supposed to get to 92*F here today.
Rod is out cutting grass as I type.

so, now that I have complained, I must tell you all--the neighbors down the road from me, apparently bought a LOT of nicer fireworks for their children. and I just finished watching about 20 minutes of the last part of the fireworks display, from my porch, that they put on for the kids---it was very nice, and NO mosquitoes were there to help me "observe" either...so double YAY
bad news ?? the people across the road for me have twin babies..and they had to put the kids in the car & go drive around so the babies could sleep & not have their ear drums messed with. All is quiet now...thank goodness.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful 4th, and there everyone enjoyed their various celebrations.
I am soon headed to bed.

Good morning !  I was looking at my calendar last night and I realized that my Mom has a Drs. appt. this afternoon. AND I play chauffeur, so my day just got re-organized. Still no rain on the horizon...ya gotta wonder about weather forecasters sometimes.

I'll be leaving my cooler on the next few night's We are getting some humidity that makes it harder for a swamp cooler to work well.
I am not sure how long this heatwave is going to last. The last one stayed around almost twice as long as called for.

I had family home for a visit from another province yesterday and GG had a doc appt for a check up. Today Grandboy has a yearly pediatrician appt in town...we have to finish the shopping for his birthday party as well. He'll be 2 already on Sunday.
