Good morning. It is going to be brutal out starting today and beyond. I want to have all in my house to see us through for a few days.

well we got 8/10 of an inch of rain last night...so that is good.

Rod took today off to run errands today & so far we are 0 for 2..we will see how #3 goes.....

I am done with my chores for the day.

#3 was going to the bank--that was just about a waste of time as well....

Well, dishes are clean, a load of laundry is done & I think I will be going to sleep soon.

Hi all..I ran errands as well yesterday.

Grandboy had to get immunizations...now the fevers have begun. He won't have to get any more for another three years thankfully.

Another hot day ahead...not sure what today holds besides the usual chores.

I am sorry about your grandboy, Sunny. They give too many cluster vaccs in my opinion.
Today I'd like to get some house cleaning done before it gets hot. Wish me luck!

Tina...while I know cleaning in the cooler weather is a plus----if you do not, oh well..just let it go for the time being---I promise the dirt will not be going anywhere..just make sure there are clean clothes/beds & clean dishes... the rest will wait, I assure you.

Sunny...my youngest DD had issues with vaccinations. She not only had a fever after the first shots but she was VERY lethargic as well..it scared me. Her Dr. & I had a very long & involved conversation the day of her next set of shots. The Dr. won, & she got the shots, glD to say my DD was fine---the way she acted, you would have thought she got NO shot as all...

Kindergarten shots are next for the GB ???

the next days are in the 90's and then we will have several days of triple digit temps...Ya gotta love July---NOT

Yes, we have 100+ the next week or more. It is not fun.

I went out, watered my tomaotes & 1 potato pot....then all my flowers. This morning Rod cut out the mulberry tree that thought to grow on the flower bed up against our house in the back---3rd year of it doing this, but if I use something harsh on it, I am afraid it will also kill my 2 Hostas, my Green Envy Echinacea, and my Autumn Joy Sedum . So, no doing that.....

I then pulled out some dead weeds & the swept the pavers where my vegetable pots are.....at least that much is done...

I agree with you on the shots Tina...Junie, he had a bad reaction to his 12 month ones so we put off the 18 month ones until he was two. Pre-Kindergarten is the next round of them.

We got some hay baled yesterday...it is hard to get three dry days in a row. The next round of thunderstorms start today. I guess our atmosphere can't handle this heat.

Sunny----the vaccinations may be scary, but IMO they are necessary.

Great on getting your hay in, Sunny.
I am not saying don't vaccinate. I am saying don't cluster them all together as is done. Give alternative ingredients to kids with a sensitivity to eggs and things. A better schedule.

I agree with you Tina, and I knew what you meant--I was just sayin' is all.

SO many people of the child raising age now a days are not getting their children vaccinated, it scares me is all.

Good for you on being able to get your hay in Sunny..what with all of your rain, you were fortunate to get it all in in a timely fashion. Good for you all !!!

Sweet dreams all. I got some cooking done this early morning in order to have some food to grab this week I didn't do anything this afternoon and evening other than sitting in front of the fan and bathing Teddy. Clean sheets on the beds tonight .are going to feel nice.

See you did plenty--the beds are clean, teddy is clean & you cooked You did a lot, esp. when you stop to consider the temps you are having to endure...

Tina, the shots are clustered...then they give two. It's twice as hard on the kids. No wonder they have so many reactions these days...it is sad.

Junie, we only have about 25% of our hay in....it is just too much work to cut it all at once. It seems harder each year to get it in with the weather.

Another hot day with storms ahead....cleaning and mopping in the plans.

Today is only supposed to be about 100*. But the humidity is going up a bit. It seems like a good day to go through my old mail and see what can be safely disposed of. Mostly a sitting still job.

I went out to water tonight---it was so cool (in comparison to previous nights) that I wish I had the evergy to do some work on the landscaping--but it was 8:00 so I came in after I had watered & changed out the hummingbird feeders.

Going to make Rod lunch for tomorrow & then head to sleep. Sweet dreams everyone.

Good morning. I am looking at another hot day. We seldom get rain in summer. Maybe a storm in August but never enough to do much good.
I hope all have a good Tuesday.

Sitting here eating a tomato sandwich. Or should I say mater sandwich since I'm a southern. It's an orange tomato and boy is it good. We're at 87° but the weather report says it feels like 96 and we have 87% humidity. Can't imagine what August will bring.

The weather is crazy everywhere. We are getting temps of 100* also, with the odd daily evening thunderstorm. The garden is loving it though.

today's high is around 97*F but the temperatures for next 4 or 5 days, at least, will be in the triple digits, with each day getting warmer. I just saw 3 sparrows (I think) trying to drink from the hummingbird feeder. They apparently thought it was water. Poor things...

I will put out my water feeder. (like a thistle feeder but for water)

Going to bed soon--busy day tomorrow.

It's hot and muggy and looks like rain... sure hope we get some.....we finished up the house... except for getting the carpet cleaned.. I usually do it but we are having it done this time... we have the garage full of packed boxes, and excess furniture... the realtor is coming tomorrow... house will go up for sale soon... so ready to get the show on the road and get moved...


I am getting fed up with our credit union here, so glad we will be moving accts... they won't let me transfer money between accts online, I have to call every time I want to do it and have them do it... pain in the &(*, this has gone on for months now.. funny it lets me pay the car and house loans with no problems at all.
I call complain and they refer it and nothing is done to fix it... so frustrating...

Well I need to get Joe to bring the vacuum down so I can use it.,need to dust too, just wish I had more energy ,doing much of anything still wears me out... getting old...

I like fall too. I like school being out and being together as a family but I don't like hot weather.
