I just finished wrapping my first gifts of the year.... 2 ornaments, one for Henry & 1 for Valarie. Val has not picked out the girls ornaments yet. so I wrapped a book for them.

I will go to sleep soon. SO I will bid everyone goodnight now. Sweet Dreams to you all.

Well Madi put up the small tree so the holidays have officially begun here.

I am making bread this a.m. , white and brown....then we are heading out to collect some cedar branches to make our wreath. It is a mild day today so GG and I will finish the outdoor decorating as well now that I can fit my oversized Winter boots on. The are a size larger so that I can wear extra socks....so they fit well with summer socks on at the moment.

I am in the business of making a peach pie for the "Dudley Thanksgiving" tonight.

Good morning. Today I will finish what didn't get done yesterday.
It is cooling down again. I am torn. It can stay where it is all winter and I'll be happy.

Val & family are going straight to the party this evening. My pie is done, and I am about to take a nap while my towels are in the washing machine.

Here today it is in the high 60's.

I did not help with the girls like I thought I should. But Valarie thought it would not be worth the fight (they wanted their Momma as they have colds) but they were only to glad to have me help them when we were back home here at my house. Not to mention I have cheerios to give out...

We went to church, and then took the kids out to eat...they are on their way home and we are here "talking" about moving down by them.

I am getting veiled threats on how things should be done--he thinks he is being clever, but I am not happy..all the while I act like he is getting away with it....

Junie do you have Christmas early so the ornaments can be unwrapped and hung on this years tree?

I got my decorating finished yesterday. This may be the earliest I"ve had it completed in a few years.

Sunny homemade bread is so delicious. Johnny used to bring a loaf home from a customer who had a crush on him I think but she eventually stopped making it for him. Sometimes I think it"d be worth him taking her out to a movie if it"d get me a loaf of that bread.:)

I try to give the ornaments just after Thanksgiving so they can put them on the tree for the current year.

I just gave my oldest DD & her son their ornaments yesterday. I will mail my east coast Grands their ornaments when their Mom lets me know that their tree is up. we are skyping with them tonight. THAT may be what tonight's skyping is about. we shall see.

The kids are all here, they slept here last night...we have Xmas pics at Walmart after school. We'll pick up GG and head out to finish the Xmas shopping. It will be a long but eventful day.

Yes we just chatted, (the boys were so wound they could not stand still to visit for more than a few seconds at a timer) but they had just put up their tree yesterday, and I think she wanted me to know that the tree was up.

WE so badly wanted to tell them that we would be there for Christmas, but you know kids, they would be asking their parents every day was that the day we were going to be there,,, PLUS the parents of one of my SIL's child hood friends were scheduled to come for Thanksgiving but ended up not being able to be there, so I did not want them to be disappointed 2 holidays in a row---

I do not know where the cyber-Monday bargains were but I did not see them..(sad but true)

we did get all the light fixtures and ceiling fans cleaned in the house today though..THAT was a big load off of my mind.
Then I had a 2 hour nap---THAT was nice.

I put ribs in my slow cooker for supper. when they were fall apart tender, I put them on a rack in the oven, dried them out a bit and then put BBQ sauce on them. They were tender and tasty--YAY !!!

The ribs sound lovely, Carol. And the clean lights and fans. s having Rod home all the time growing on you?

Pics were taken...it was quite an ordeal. There was only one pic of the two grands together since Grandboy declared, "I no yike Deedee' and refused to sit with her. Of course we all started laughing then he added, "I no yike Mommy too".

My Xmas shopping is almost finished as well.

I can't believe I slept so late. Almost 9 am.

Tina thanks--well I would not go so far as to say him being home is growing on me, but like we tell people who ask (all do it seems) we are both pleasantly surprised & so far so good.

well one picture of the 2 grands are better than no picture of the 2. he will "yike" his sister one day, even if it is not real soon.

I now have 6 of my 7 Grands Christmas shopping done as well. Once I give my DD some cash for her Baby (Ian) I will be done with the 7th.

It is snowing a bit, the kind that has flakes about an inch across....it is so pretty as it falls. I won't be saying that in a month's time

I have Xmas under control as well, just a plastic sleigh to pick up for GB(there was no room with the kids in the back seat)....and another item for GG then I will be done. DH and I will pick up a little item for each other just to put under the tree so the kids see we get something also.

Junie, I've never done ribs in the crock pot. Are they good if you don't transfer to the oven after? The other day I put a whole chicken with potatoes wrapped in foil in the crock pot and it was delicious.

Hello! Here it was 72+F yesterday. today it is 53+F. we are all going to be sick next week. I wish the weather would make up it's mind....

The President is going to be in St. Charles, MO this afternoon at 2+ pm. It is a good thing I had my Drs. appt. in the morning today and we did not get caught in that traffic.

Sheri: I tasted a bite of the ribs before I put them in the oven...they were fall apart tender and were very tasty. of course I seasoned them after they had thawed. (I put them in the slow cooker frozen.) I think they would have been a yummy dinner with mashed potatoes & say a salad.

Hi all.

It's a whole 14*F this a.m. but no wind so it's not too bad.

Parent-teacher appt. after lunch today followed by a few errands. I'm making a cold chicken/pasta salad at the moment with devilled eggs. It's a good 'go-to' meal when I won't be home at supper time.

Good morning. I need to go out this morning. I have shopping to do as well as some banking. And then I get to do it all tomorrow again.

You ladies have fun on your errands. I have a kitchen to clean, clothes to wash & a few small things to wrap---then I will either go get a blood test or put up my small Christmas tree. Val thought that would be better with the kids being around it

Gosh Sunny so cold already. Here very warm and sunny outside. The bad side is that the Asian ladybugs are bombarding my house.

I got out and back in record time this morning. And then collapsed into a nap.
