Good morning. I hope everyone stays warm this morning. We've got some wild winds blowing here. I've got some general cleaning to do around here. The movement will help keep me warm, I hope. And the cooking that I didn't do yesterday.

We went to church, then out to eat (my treat). Now I think I will try Sheri's advice on my cactus and then move my plants around so as to make room for the printer that my Niece brought and gave to me. It seems that she does not use it any longer. so YAY for me.

it is very cold here. The gauge says it is 26..I think it is wrong..I am way cold....even in the house.

I have offended a man and his wife at church without intending too. I apologized but the wife refuses to accept my apology and refused to speak to me this morning. The man made a FB post concerning the crude remarks President Trump made the other day. His post was not out of the way at all and I thought it was stated nicely. So I commented that I had heard an interview with the Haitian Ambassador about the comments and he was very classy in his comments. That was it. And this man and woman decided that I was disagreeing with him and was implying his comments were low class. In my mind I was agreeing with his comments and I told them that but the wife refuses to believe it. Oh well.

here is what I think: There is no talking to some people. I would just forget it. The more you try the more they will remember the whole situation.

if she ever brings it up to you again, just make light of it, say you are so very sorry that she misunderstood you, and then smile & either walk off or change the subject.

Good Morning ! I have been up since around 5 a.m. I guess it is going to be a long day.

Good morning. I love my first sip of coffee in the quiet of a Monday morning. And my second. And third...
I hope all have an amazing day.

On my 2nd cup here. It is snowing again. however, we can still see the ground in places.

I am worried that the weather got so bad that Sunny has lost power.

How bad is Sonny's weather? No one has been in here today.

Last time that I noticed, Sunny said she was getting ice pellets "again" so I was thinking perhaps the ice got to the electricity.

I have been without power for about eleven hours. It got old once the sun went down. I expected iy back on earlier in the day so I never messed with my generator. Then it was too dark...
But it's back for now and Teddy brought me the two solar lights I set him up with in his room.

OH MY, I am so sorry to hear this, Tina. When you didn't come in I assumed that you were just very busy. So glad the power is back on for you.

It is nice that you have a generator though. We should have one. I guess I need to invest in a few solar lights....we are counting on flashlights right now.

I am soon off to bed. G'nite.

The cheap solar lights (97 cents at Walmart) are great for adding enough light to the bathroom to take care of business or to give the kids safe lighting to play with in a power out situation. I put them away unused until needed. But the older ones, say older than 3 years, don't hold up so well. They tend to light up but only keep their light for a couple of minutes. I'm learning lessons all the time.

Hi all.

I see Tina and I had the same troubles...we lost power on and off steadily. It was restored but our internet was out with the cable lines.

The ice storm was awful. DH had to use a heat gun to get into his vehicle...the ice was so thick. My car is still covered. Good old Mother nature.

I keep a few of those lights also from the dollar store. I buy the ones that look like little lanterns...they use AAA batteries.

It is very cold here. I think now that I am home for the day (it is Tuesday after all). I will not go anywhere that I do not have to. Brrrrrrrr

Sunny you will laugh at this but we're expecting between 2 - 4 inches of snow tonight and everything is already closed for tomorrow. It's going to warm up Thursday so it won't hang around long but we're shut down for the next 24 hours.

Tina, I hate being without power. Our generator is in the shop. It runs on gas and was leaking gas at the end of last winter and nag I did, day after day after day, and Johnny never took it to the repair man and wouldn't help me load it to take it so here we are in January without it fixed. Makes me so mad.

I'm going to look for a few of those solar lights.

Next chance of rain is Friday. I hope my roof is finished by then. It's down to bare wood on about a third of it.
