I've tried the vinegar, dawn and water solution and I let the soil dry to 2 inches them watered with the vinegar solution. I put out bowls of the cider vinegar with the dawn to catch the adult gnats. I even sprayed with some plant insect spray, but I really think it was way too old, so may need to get more. Anyway, still have gnats galore!!! ANY SUGGESTIONS? They are taking over. As soon as it gets warm enough I am moving these outside, but until then, the house is getting pretty crowded! About a gazillion gnats and 2 of us.

How long did you let the soil dry ?

Try using Gnatrol. Just read the instructions on how to use it.

Leave a throwaway plastic glass with some sweetend black coffe or tea or any drink that drys up to a goo almost. you could say they will smell it and come to it and stick and die on it. Learned one weeked, had a meeting and a cup of coffe sat at the table where he and I met and it stayed over the weekend. Came in Monday Morning and gnats were gone but cup was therer loaded with dead gnats.

My daughter lives in GA and at certain times of the year the gnats are horrible.
