Tina, Gabrielle was heading straight for us but Dorian's winds are going to push it far East...so one storm will save us from another it seems.

I am glad for the warnings. Can you imagine not knowing what was coming?

On my goodness, I heard that Dorian was done...but now there is another one ??? Gracious! Stay safe.

We are back..it was a nice wedding and I got to visit with family as a bonus

Yes, I had a good time..there was visiting and picture taking ( not professional) after the wedding And before the reception. The reception was far to noisy so not a lot of visiting there.

Next day there was more family visiting at the gift opening...and homemade quiche.

Hi all. We are o.k. There is some tree damage in my area but we still have power. The lower half of my province is in rough shape, no one has power, the lines are all down and it is flooded out. The storm dropped the temperature so quick that they got snow an hours drive from here. Hurricane snow...imagine that.

DH will probably have the week off work, the lower province that he trucks to has been hit the hardest. The whole province has no power....it will take them awhile to clean up the damage.

I am glad that it is over and that it took hurricane Gabrielle with it

I only had one tomato plant break off..of course it was the 'beefstake' variety. it was so heavy that even old broom handles in the ground couldn't save it with the wind. The others were lighter(scotia kind)so the stakes didn't break.

I didn't need DH's help since the damage was light. I cleaned up broken branches and such around the house....although we are now debating cutting down two large trees on the corner of my lot. They are getting taller each year and if they'd fall to the right...in a few years they might take out the power line to my house.

It's a clean and mop day here.

Yes, Rod is talking about taking down the one full grown beautiful tree in our yard.
I do not want that, so we are in " discussions" about trimming back various limbs.

Sunny, we wish we knew what kind of tree it is. It has small oval leaves. If I ever find out, I will let you know.

Good morning! I have no real plans either. I do see a nap in my future though.

Fall chores here. I just moved around last years wood to the front of the wood shed...I need to put this years wood in soon as well. Then we have to go cut next years wood in a few weeks. Each month has something major to do it seems

Well, Carol got no nap....but then I am not tired, so all is well.

It was over 100 today. I try not to complain because it doesn't do a bit of good but I can't stand it much longer. Not sure what that means but I need a cool breeze.

I have had cooler weather the last couple of days. But the heat is coming back.

They are me out of house and home at Lunch...Then proceeded to eat my lunch ( potato soup)

When I put them to sleep, they all fell asleep on like 5 minutes.

Watching 9/11: Control the Skies......saw most of the previous program about Air force One and President Bush. I wish I had of seen all of it as well.

Hi all. I had a bit of a tummy bug yesterday....I hope it was just a 24 hr thing.

DH watched some of the 9/11 as well last night...It was so heartbreaking to listen to people tell their stories.

I can.t watch that stuff. It gets to me.
