I could use some rain here. Good morning.

It's a dry day here. The kids and I went picking apples again this morning...I wish I knew what the different varieties of wild apples on our farm are. We found a new tree that seems to be producing a small sweet variety...we picked for pies than took the ones of the ground for the cows and horses as treats.

That is great, Sunny. It makes me happy to think of the cows and horses getting treats. And you too.

We only got around 2/10 of an inch of rain. I am hoping for more tonight.

Yes, I too am made happy by the cows/horses getting a Treat. I remember we would do the same thing when we'll ed on the farm. We had 2 Apple trees, a cherry tree, a peach tree and pear tree ..many dropped to the ground, and if I did not getting soon enough to salvage a few for say applesauce, the cows would get them. They sure did like that.

I ordered Ian his birthday gift today. It will be sent to him direct. I will drop his card on the mail tomorrow. After that is I the mail, my mind will be I Christmas.

Up early as we need to leave the subdivision and the main road past us will be closed at 7 am.

Yes, the livestock love apples...in fact, we once had a cow that was so greedy that she choked on them. We had to call the vet to save her. Lesson learned, we now cut them in pieces.

Rain for today...and I need to clean and mop the house. The 'sticky' toddler sure made a mess

Hi all, just finished up my bills and stuff, trying to auto pay as much as possible … makes life just a little easier... filed my pile of receipts too, sure does pile up fast..
Its been really nice here...81* today, made a pear crisp a couple days ago it was really good, not to sweet, a neighbor gave Joe a sack of pears and had to use them up, and I am not crazy about just eating them raw...

Well I better get busy and run a vacuum around... my dog sheds enough to make a new dog , it's time for another bath for him too... he will be mad at me for a while... does not like being wet at all...LOL!

You are making me hungry, Nana. This.morning I had some pumpkin with topping when we were at my DD's. She made it from fresh pumpkin. It was so wonderful! And now you are talking of fresh pear crisp.YUM! You all are making me look lazy.....

We too are having beautiful weather. I wish it would last until next year when it is time for summer.

Yes Sunny, " they" are resurfacing the road into and out of Kelso, which is where we live.

Will also be closed tomorrow. So once again we will Be getting up at the crack of dawn to make sure we get out of town while we can.

I am taking my tablet with me to my Daughter's house tomorrow. So when we are back to her house, I will see you.

Tina, I hope you had a good night's s sleep !

We have already been to the coffee shop. We are now at my DAd's and I am washing her clothes. We will leave for our appt. in about an hour.

I had to take DD to the hospital yesterday, she called in severe pain. We waited at one hospital for 4 hrs, seen a doctor who said it was her kidneys and sent us to another hospital....then we waited there for 8 hrs to be sent home to go back today. My mother took her this time...I only got home at 3 am with GB with me. The hospital is so full that people are on stretchers in hallways...unless it is cardiac related, you are sent home to come back again. They gave her an antibiotic pill there and one for this morning....I have no clue what today holds for her.

Oh, I am sorry, Sunny. I hope everything goes easier today and she's out of pain and on the mend.

Oh my, I am so sorry Sunny!. I do hope they find her problem soon, and take care of it. I do hate it when little ones get sick. My prayers are with you all.

No word from Sunny. Maybe it's just a UTI or kidney infection that an antibiotic will take care of.

Tonight I fixed a stir fry with egg plant, okra, tomatoes and added rice. Johnny liked it and said he'd eat it again. Will wonders never cease. I planted 2 egg plants and have given all but 2 of the fruit away. Guess I should have tried this stir fry sooner.

Good. You have one more alterative that will work for you, Sheri. When I find something that Teddy will eat I do a little dance. But he burns out on new things quickly too.

Yes, Sheri, I too am happy that Johnny liked your stir fry. Look at It this way, you are ahead of the game for next year ! So yay for you !

Tina, I am sorry for you in regards to Teddy and his eating habits... That must be very hard.

They still have no idea what DD's issues are...but after another 6 hr wait they sent her home with antibiotics and told her to go back when she is finished if the pain persists.

I am taking GB home today...he is getting to comfy being here this long.

Tina, have they made a decision on the power outage....the news stated they were debating to do it or not.

It sounds like norCal is turning things off today. The winds are supposed to hit here tomorrow. We have better infrastructure in SoCal. They will watch the wires carefully and turn it off if needed.

Will they fix the lines Tina? The news said it was poor connections that could spark more fires.

Girls are taking their nap, and I am getting ready to make supper so I can put it in the fridge. Tonight at supper time we are going to Skype with Micah as his Birthday was Moday. He opened his gifts from us last night but with it being an hour later out east, it was his bedtime.

Northern California has a sloppy electric company. Ours down here run a tighter ship and keep things in better repair. So much of our fires are started by natural things like lightening or something like a tractor sparking off a rock. And they take off. Some by arsonists are deliberately started.
Wish me luck, it looks like our winds start tomorrow.

I just heard the news..There are wild fires in S. Californua. I hope Tina and her family are ok.

I took down the trampoline yesterday and moved the mowers to the back and the snow blower to the front of the shed. There's no turning back Winter coming.

It is cooler and rainy here today. " They" say a cold front is moving in. Time to move my potted lilac bush indoors.

Still no word from Tina...now I am beginning to worry. I will go with she is OK but the power is out.

When I got into the tub this morning it was 66*f outside. When I got out of the tub, it was 55*F outside.
Right now it is 50*F outside. I guess there is no avoiding that Winter is well in its way.

So this afternoon I changed over Rod's closet, and I took my capris and such out If my closet as well. May I say I am not looking forward to Winter....???

I am back online after 32 hours off. It went well. I just need some more stuff to occupy and entertain Teddy though.
