The weather is nice today...a warm front ahead of the Nor'Easter for Thursday, hopefully it stays mild so the snow keeps at bay.

It's a mop and clean day...followed by some outdoor clean up of leaves. Have a good one.

Floors are mopped, astilbes are cut...it's too windy to rake leaves.

Tomorrow I have to take GG to the pediatrician for a re-check of her tonsils. They have had her on allergy meds for two months.

Partial shopping trips seem to be the norm for me....due to the fact that if it's on sale, chance are....there's none left

( breathing a deep sigh). Yep, me too, the older I get the more I shop piece meal..
Kids are gone, and I need a bath. They will be here 1/2 hour later tomorrow, Grandma gets to sleep in some.

Hi all.

I'm making up the banking, shopping and 'get ready for Winter' lists. I buy bottled water, batteries, propane cylinders, can soups and such in preparation....and my stock is low.

We are off to go to GG's appt then hit the stores for shopping...I love going to the big dollar store.

Well, we are as ready as we'll ever be...thankfully the Nor'easter coming in tomorrow won't have snow. It is staying just above the freezing mark but we were warned to be prepared for up to 72 hrs with no power. The generator is full and ready to go and the camp stove has lots of propane.

Yay for emergency supplies. We keep some supplies and water during the winter ter. With moving we need to put up more for here. For years we had some MRE's....But I think we tossed them when we moved. Perhaps Tina and such would be the way to go.
Did I mention we are now very close to the New Madrid Fault like e? And that there have been a number of very light earthquakes in the last few weeks ?

I live by the San Andreas Fault. It is scary. Are you also near any gas or oil pipelines, Carol? That more than doubles my danger here,

Same here...they are now calling this storm a 'weather bomb'.....such names puts the elderly in a panic state.

A panic is not good, Sunny. But alert is. Best to find a term more able to bring that state. Have you heard from your elderly relatives?

We are all safe, there are still a few in the area with no power and there is damage to shingles and such on a few homes but my house has no damage. There will be a major clean up today for many around their homes with broken trees and branches. My mother called all the elders and they are o.k. Most have kids moved back in with them....nothing like having your 40 and 50 year olds back at your door

There was a lot of flooding in town due to leaves blocking storm drains. My BIL had a flood in his home as well...that's what happens when you don't fix the small leak in your roof in good weather. I am glad it stayed mild because that would have been one vicious snow storm.

Laundry and baking planned for today...GB called for me to only pick him up tomorrow, he is being registered for kindergarten today.

I have errands and perhaps a bit of shopping to do today. I do have 1 load of laundry to do today when I get back. This washing machine takes so long to wash that I could only fit 4 loads of laundry into all of yesterday.

They are still threatening our power today depending on the wind. That means I am in waiting just in case all day.

Don't t you just "love" having to wait ? Smh...I hope you are waiting for Nothing .

Tina, that is just awful. They need to start repairing their infrastructure instead.

P.S. ~ I seen my first Christmas commercial today ....for Glade scented candles.

DH is gone to pick up GB....and to get some supplies since a moose put my fencing in pieces.

It is a very windy day...the clothesline is full and they are straight in the air.

Good morning. On windy days I xan hang out laundry and it is dry before I can get the first piece pinned.
Today I am banking and shopping. The winds are coming back tomorrow.

I used to be able to do my laundry like that at " the farm". I loved those days.

When I was younger, I really enjoyed hanging out the laundry. Even five years ago I did. But this older me does not get the same kick out of it.

We're supposed to get some wind and rain from Nestor. I read that it's now a cyclone rather than a tropical storm. I thought a cyclone was worse than a tropical storm but not according to this report.
