.
Plus rain is a good fire deterrant.
Glad the house is ready for the next few days, Sunny. I have to make some more cookies tonight a pecan pie in the morning and then prep for supper

I hope that there are no mudslides Tina. It is freezing rain outdoors a the moment...it was supposed to be snow.

The freezing rain turned to snow...not a lot but enough to cover the ice  DH just left for work and GG is still sleeping. I am enjoying the last few hours of quiet I will get for a few days Is everyone ready for the day ahead?

Really...peace and happiness is THE way to go.
We had my DD Valarie and her family over tonight for supper and to open gifts.
Tomorrow morning we will open gifts with my youngest DD and her family via skype.
For now I will Fix you all goodnight. Remember Santa will not come by if you are awake, so day goodnight now. Sweet Dreams!

My son's favorite toy for Christmas is a dog toy. I saw it and knew it was right for Teddy. He has books and puzzles and things but that thing takes the prize this year.

Happy boxing day. A very wet day here with more wet coming through tomorrow. I am not complaining. It beats snow and ice which our mountains have bunches of.

Well, I lied. I thought the rain was taking a break for the last hour or two. But it turned to snow. Just an inch or so at this time. It's pretty while it lasts.

teddy wasn't interested in the snow this time. on Thanksgiving he was interested and came back ijxide for my umbrella. But today he just looked and pulled his blanket around himself.

I guess it was more appealing to stay inside today, huh mom ? I think I would chose a blanket wrapped around me indoors over being outside as well.. I agree with Teddy.
I need to do stuff to get my house in order as wel!, Sunny, but not today..I just could not make myself do anything much. But I am ok with that.

I didn't do much yesterday either. Today is the day though to get my butt in gear....GG and I are taking down the tree. If I had room I'd leave it up but everything is so crammed together in my living room. I'll need to mop later as well.
We are getting a small storm this afternoon. It's a good day to stay indoors, catch up on laundry and clean.

Sorry you have to take down the tree, but I understand. If I were left to my devices, I would leave mine up most if not all of the year.
I may make myself do some work tidsy, but not a lot....I think Iam trying to get a cold from what the girls had a while back.
