I never slept all night...being overtired caught up with me to the point of insomnia. It doesn't happen very often but it leaves me feeling like I'm sick for a day or two. I have no plans so I can rest today if I need to.
Has anyone been making any fun plans for New Year's Day? GB will have a sleepover....it is calling for a storm for the day of here.

Rest is a good thing..No need to run yourself down. I do that not sleeping thing every once in a while. It is no fun...Take care. No plans here for New Years Eve or New Years Day either one. I imagine we wil! Be keeping the 4 kids overnight New Years Eve though. Val should be talking to me soon about that. Good Morning

Good morning. Happy last Saturday of the year. And last weekend of the decade. A different way to look at it. I am looking forward to the lists, the best of.... for the decade. I have seen a couple but want more.
I plan on spending my New year eve and day like always. Sleeping and being satisfied with what I have around me. And my kids still with me.

I undecorated today but didn’t get the tree in the attic. I need help for that so hopefully I can get it done Monday. Colt is coming next week for the rest of his Christmas present. I’ve enrolled him in a 2 day robot building class.
It’s so hot here the camellias haven’t bloomed yet. I usually bring some in for Christmas but not this year.

I am glad all is fixed.
We spent yesterday on our hands and knees tearing apart pipes in our crawl space....that kitchen drain line is getting an overhaul this Summer. I am glad for a normal day today.

Oh my, I am so sorry.. That sounds like a lot of uncomfortable repair work....
Rod is hitting the heel of his boots on the floor ( he is sitting down) does anyone know why ????

Junie if I can get help getting this tree apart and into the attic I won't leave it up.
I've got 5 inches of rain in the rain gauge and it's still raining. But it's 69° so at least it won't freeze.

Thank goodness it is so warm, Sheri..now just so there are no flash floods.
It is raining here, but it has not rained like that. I hope it stops soon for you..

Junie, that heel tapping could be anxiousness. Bestofour, my oldest SIL puts a large bag over her tree then tucks it into a corner of her spare 'junk' room. She just hauls it out every year  Tina, I hope the problem is fixed...I couldn't get in either.

It rattled me too, Tina. At first I Thought it was me and my computer, but finally decided it was not only me, I got in touch with James, and in a few minutes all was well. I feel bad for not notifying him sooner. My apologies to you all.

Not a problem, Carol. It kept telling me I wasn't allowed to access the restricted pages for admin or something. Amd I wasn't. But felt guilty anyway. It's kind of funny now.

Ah yes, the parade. I enjoy that too. We will go to Valarie's They are having his his mom, us and his sister and her family over. We will go there, eat and then the festivities will begin. Knowing Rod, we will be back here well before midnight. I am thinking I will watch the ball drop by myself.  Happy New Year to you all !

That sounds like fun for all of you. I have GB here with me as well as GG, it is starting to snow....it is calling for a big storm today into tomorrow. I'll be ringing in the New Year with a snow shovel

Mmmmm, cheeseballs are so good. It seems to be a must have item at baby showers these days as well....That's where I get to try new kinds The kids are fighting....I am giving up on being the referee. I'll just administer First Aid when the night is done

We never do anything much fun either. I think tonight we found the right group. At 8:30 people began talking about going home..the last of us left at 9:40 give or take.
9:50 pm here. Sounds like it will be the new year in 2 hours here in the central U.S.

I was up early but I had to wait for GG to get up so I could go do the barn work. She stayed up all by herself to ring in the New Year with a movie and junk food. She wasn't pleased to trudge in heavy snow to follow me to the barn....neither was GB. It is still snowing, we got over a foot so far with this storm...and the winds are beginning to blow. GB might be stuck here for another day at this rate.

I too stayed up to ring in the New year, Suunny. Frank iced tea though.
We were. Going to pick pecans today, but apparently Rod' s help is needed at Val' s house to help her DH do some work on one of the sheds. So, Grandkid time for Carol !

Plans made are never followed it seems....I guess 2020 will be the same as 2019 Junie ....Are you picking pecans at a friend's house or an orchard? Either way, it is a cool thing to be able to do.

My SIL's parents have a lot of pecan trees. They just picked around 5 or 7 5 gallon buckets of nuts and so nicely offered to let us come and get some for our baking needs.
They are also do nice to have for just a snack when they are free..
Now, DH can spend time cracking nuts when he says he had nothing to do.
