Good morning.....we were reported to get snow...we did not.

Morning ,
I am off to Tucson in a few to go to Costco... we go about every three months to buy the big stuff... taking sil so that will be fun... she loves to go and loves to talk the whole way there and back.. drives hubby nuts but I mostly just listen.... LOL!

We have fairly nice weather compared to all of you guys.. in the 50's and sun is out, but it is windy... our Milo hates the wind , I think it hurts his ears .. he goes out and comes right back in when it's like this.. unless he remembers the rabbit under the shed then he will go see if he can find it...

Well got to dry my hair and makes sure I have everything on my list.. going to be a long day …

I like snow, Tina, but it can stay away until it learns to stay off of the roads and sidewalks.
And we know that will not happen.

Enjoy your snow free sidewalks, Carol. I have to drive about a half mile down my road to see a sidewalk. And that's only in front of the park up the road. Then it's about seven miles before the next one. Oh, there are a few businesses that put in sidewalks in front of their establishments along the way. But they fade away to dirt verges at their property lines. I love living rural.

I'll share snow with anyone that wants some. We are getting a major storm today....they are calling for 16 inches at least, with heavy winds. The only good thing about that is that I'll be storm stuck in my warm little house and not have to go anywhere for a few days(it has been a long week running with errands, appts and favors for others)

There really are not any sidewalks around here either except for in front of the local church and post office ( they are on the same street.) And then I have one from my driveway to my front porch. But it was just an statement reslly.

That is a lot of snow, Sunny. Glad that you have a warm house to stay in.

I jinxed myself last week by saying it was a milder, nicer Winter.

We just got close to 2 ft of snow in one storm, my roofs seem to collect it all in a Nor'Easter, it swirls into 5 ft drifts on them. I'll be soaking in a bath of epsom salts by the end of the night.

Off to do the barn work, these are the days when I wonder why we bother to farm?

That is a lot of snow, but I like to say to myself, it could be worse. I think you farm for the joy of it...and when we are not talking ice or snow, you do enjoy it. And then there is the fact that Carey was farming...

Kids are coming today. Mom and Dad are taking a day out.

Another clean up day here. The house is shoveled and the windows as well, I have one shed left to do....thankfully DH is home today so he can tractor the excess snow for me. GB called again, apparently I really, really, really need to go pick him up later today

We are back to cold today. And expecting some drizzle. Just in time for the Oscars today. It is a shame when rain ruins the pageantry.

Ah yex, the Oscars..thanks for reminding me, Tina. I love to watch them. If they begin to get political though I may have to turn it off.

It is overcast today...but no snow or ice, so that is nice.

I don't watch them. Just highlight snippets on various newsy programs. They will be political for sure.

I have my Valentine 's Day shopping done. Now to ship off my Virginia Brands ?their gifts tomorrow.

I was going grocery shopping today, but I think that got put off to tomorrow now. Today it will be laundry, the cleaning of bathrooms, changing out of some ceramics, and then mailing off my Valentine boxes....I wonder what we should have for supper tonight ?

Yes, this windstorm brought a 209 mile gust to a mountain top a bit north of me. That's strong!

That's enough to blow the mountains away Tina....there are some bad storms rolling through the U.S. on the news.

Junie, we are having roast chicken here...they finally went on sale last week so I stocked up.

Oh ! Roast chicken sounds like a good idea...thanks for the idea...

And I am having chicken fritters and mac n' cheese with peas.

We had chef salads and garlic bread sticks.
