For mobile capability the forum auto maximizes images to be full width; the only way would be to post smaller resolution photos... I'll see about adjusting the maximum height allowed.

those fern leaf bleeding hearts are so pretty. Sunny, that blue is a hydrangea. Some years it's very dark blue, others its very pale, and this year it's this blue. It has to do with the minerals in the soil.

Thanks. I got a new fern leaf one for Mother's Day but it has white flowers. They are the only perennial here that blooms from spring frost to Fall frost....the hardiest little plant I have ever seen.

Sheri, I got a potted hydrangea for Mother's Day last year. It is supposed to only be a nursery plant but DH told me to plant it just for fun since the blue flowers were so pretty. Well to my surprise I have a tiny shoot growing from it....I wonder if it is really a plant like yours? What do you add to keep it blue?

Ammonium sulfate. I'm going to try and remember to add some to the soil. I have no idea how often or how much is needed but I figure some is better than none.

Not sure why those are sideways. They’re not in my file.

I’m not fighting the deer for the blueberries another year. It’s not worth it.

Sunny, your tree and your flowers are beautiful,,!

We have a fence. The deer just jump over it. They don't bother a whole lot in our yard so I figure why fight them on this. They always eat most of the blackberries too. At least their getting their antioxidants. smile

Not yet, they are only 2-3 years old....the biggest with the bloom is only 2 ft high.

I’ve only got one bush and I’m going to move it in the fall. The way things have grown it’s crowded.

I have 4, we bought them at the end of season at Walmart for $4 a piece because they were missing their labels....I guess they didn't realize that the sticker underneath the pot states what variety they were. boogie

Those are marigolds on steroids. They came from seeds from my sister in West Virginia. I can't get store bought ones around her to get anywhere near that large.

Your yard is lovely. I have that same clematis but it's way done around here. So nice to see it blooming. Is that Hosta? It's much bushier than here.

Thanks Sheri, yes, that is all hostas. My front yard faces North East so not a lot grows well but hostas just thrive. I have hostas, bleeding hearts, black eyed susans and astilbes in that full row....with the addition of a purple smoke bush in the closest corner this year. I need something that has height and interest so I hope it grows well.

Beautiful pictures, Sunny. And exceptional plants. IMO you did an exceptional job with the landscaping there in the front of your house ! Hostas must like the weather where you live...well the weather you usually get.
