Does any one know if 4 o'clocks are poisonous to fish? I pulled one up from my yard and set the bulb down in my pond. Over the next couple days, I noticed so dead fish. That was the only thing different going on in the pond that I know of. Anybody ever have anything like this? why

Sherri - I did a quick search and came up with this info on Floridata.com:

Quote
WARNING
Four o'clocks self seed and may become a nuisance if not kept under control. If left to spread unchecked, they then can be difficult to eliminate because of the large, deep-rooted tubers. All parts of the plant are said to be poisonous - do not ingest!

Thank you, I will not put any 4o'clocks near my ponds anymore! I thought that it had to be that for my fish to go belly up, but I also had a toad dead too. They like to jump in the ponds, but usually get out. Hope this helps someone else!! Thank you again!!
