Thanks, there was no Canada Day celebrations this year though due to the scandal of unmarked graves at all the residential schools in the Western part of Canada.

We were under a frost warning last night...and it hit. I was prepared but I bet many were not. Our weather is jumping from extreme heat to cold within days. We had a season like this many years ago where we had frost every month. It is frustrating.
Our youngest God daughter(niece) graduated and my SIL is having a family gathering for her today, it will be the first time that family is gathering since the pandemic.

I find even the most minor socializing a trial these days, Sunny. I have turned into a regular hermit.

I think the pandemic has turned many of us into hermits.
We had to stay to ourselves for so long that our minds think that is the norm.

Tina, there is too much drama in DH's family....it has turned me against any family functions. Today is 'strawberry jelly processing' day.

It is a mix Tina, I use a hand blender and puree the garden strawberries but leave a few chunks as well. I then cook it with pectin to make it jelly type consistency.

Stay safe Bestofour, we are watching the track of it at the moment. The last time a storm like that went through here(as it is showing the same path) some places here were 5 days without power. We were two days without....the reason why we bought our generator the following year. Long story ahead....DD dropped a bottle of shampoo in our acrylic tub many moons ago and cracked it, we repaired it and installed a shampoo dispenser so it would never happen again. Well, yesterday I stood on the tub edge to refill it and had the long, 'sharp' cover in my hand. I stepped down and slipped on the new shower mat(which has no grips) and fell. That was bad enough...but I fell with my hand on the underside of the cover. I now have a hand full of stitches...and of course it had to be my right hand. That being said, DH is outside at the moment using the push hand mower around the trees and flower beds....the neighbors are going to think I died(he never mows).

I'll be fine but thanks....it seems that 'stupid' is what 'stupid' does.
I got the lawn all finished. The earwigs are everywhere though, yuck.

I did not dream the first night of strawberries. But last night they made a cooling appearance in my sleep.
