I love the smell of fresh ground coffee.

It is so damp outdoors. I went out to do a bit of work but everything is still soaked from the previous rains....so I came inside to start some laundry. Waiting for a dry day to hang things on the line are few and far between lately. I may as well just give in and use the dryer.

Junie do you have an HOA in your neighborhood? I love the smell of clothes that have been hung outside.

Well there used to be one, with the usual rules..no gardens, no clothes lines, etc.
But apparently it is no longer in operation. There are a few " out buildings" and several gardens..but I have not seen one clothes line. I miss mine so much !

Goodnight to you all. wavy

I won't live where there is a HOA. The idea is repugnant to me. Most of them are not ecologically sound either.
Sweet dreams all.

I can't imagine living in a place where a group of people decide what I can do with property that I bought. Junie, you should get Rod to put one up...maybe you'll be the person to start the trend. thumbup

Tina, I agree and I also do not like the monthly fee that goes along with an HOA. So glad mine is non-existent.

I like the idea of having Rod put up a clothes line, so much. I asked him to when we moved in here, but it will not hurt to ask again..

Good morning.

I just got notice that the teenager living two houses West of me has Covid...and he works at the local gas station. His father has a girlfriend who lives across the road from me and his mother is best friends with my youngest Sis-in-law. I am so glad that I stopped all family from visiting here...they are all in a panic waiting to get tested.

Good.for you.
The people behind is have Covid. They do not believe it conventional medicines or vaccinations. I would like to think having the virus would change their opinion on such things..but I bet it does not.

All school kids k thru 12 on California have to be covid vaxxed this year. And Phizer is working on getting a half dose approved for 5-12 year olds.

A half dose might be the way to go. I hope they soon work it out. I do not think that my littles would do well with catching covid. Keep us informed of what you hear, Tina.

Goodnight, sweet dreams.

They just sent in their info to Health Canada here as well, they say that vaccines should start rolling out in the first month of 2022. They want to do the ages 2 -11 with 1/3rd the amount of the regular vaccine. Anything will be better than nothing in my opinion.

It is a whole 28*F here this morning...the frost is covering everything heavily.

Sounds good to hear this from you too Sunny....with my grands, I think I like the idea of a 3 rd of a dose. Not that I get to make the decision. But now I an curious as to what size is the flu dose for littles ? My grands have been getting those since they were allowed.

Good morning.

We started on next years wood(so it can season a year ahead), it was a long day yesterday....now my shoulder blades are feeling it this morning.

They just announced that our Thanksgiving (October 11) has been cancelled in our province. Well, you can have it with just your household...we are in a lockdown from Friday at 6 pm until Monday at 11:59 pm. I can see lots of fines being given out.

Good gracious !! Well does that mean that DD and GB will be home alone that day ??
I hate this virus. I hope they get a handle on it sooner rather than later. I know these restrictions are necessary, they are just getting old real fast.

I am thinking I had better get a small turkey for my freezer now..for JIC.

Yup.

Junie, GB hasn't been here for a few weeks. My DD works with the public and refuses to get vaccinated, her BF is not vaccinated and works with the public and GB has already had cases at his school. They are on their own, I go every 10 days to see GB outside, masks on for us and 6ft distance. I will not give in for GG's safety.

I do not blame you. I would not be seeing my grands if I were in the same situation.
Yes my grands are too young for vaccinations, but all the adults around them have been vaccinated. So we get them from school and hope for the best with us.

It is an unusually warm day here. DH and I are cutting the last of next years Winter wood....we'll be finished today. It is a good feeling to be prepared a year ahead.

I love the month of October, I wish it lasted longer. lol

We always seasoned our wood a year ahead.

The wood is done and piled behind the shed for next year....and the little sand flies made a meal out of me. lol
