Hi all,
I am still alive.... no didn't have covid thank God but got my booster and it made me so sick.. none of the others did for more than a day but this one I was out for almost 2 weeks... even hubby felt bad for a day or so and he is never sick... I feel almost normal now.. People here are refusing to get the vaccine so I have been home since end of March or so Joe is doing the shopping mostly.. getting good at it too..I was so out of it I almost forgot to pay bills.. that would have not been good at all...

I think we will be getting shots every yr for this too.. especially if it keeps mutating ... getting to be a scary world out there...
I talked to my dd this afternoon too, the store lost most of there employees so she has 3 of her boys working at the store now... oldest one was for a while but his mine job finally opened up again and he went back...
Well hubby warmed up our leftover dinner so better go eat while it's hot... good to make it back

Nana ! SO very good to hear from you , and glad that you are well. I was sick a few days after my booster as well. But I must say it is easier to take when one knows what is going on. Glad hubby can make leftovers for you.

I am waiting for my pie to cool so I can put it in the fridge, then I am off to bed.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

We are in the middle of a snowstorm, GG is excited.....I am not.

We have been busy making 'roll's all day, egg rolls and taco rolls are made, spring rolls are next then donair and pizza. I am glad this holiday cooking is only once a year.

Well, about the snow storm...All I can say is, I am glad that you have your Christmas shopping done.

All of your "rolls" sound delicious. Your DH knows just how lucky he is, right ??

I got to go "home" for a Dudley Thanksgiving today/tonight.....it was wonderful. I got to see all of my relatives and my mom !!

We drove back home last night. We usually stay overnight but Val had a party to go to today and we both have the dogs. We got home about 11:30.

I wish the info. We are hearing could be counted on. My DH says we will soon not be able to go out to and eat anymore like in the past. ( Did any of you see him out eating in restaurants, because I sure have not been out with him since the pandemic hit.)

2 cases of Omicron in Canada, both travelled from Nigeria.....and so it starts.

OMGoodness !!! I wish this Covid thing would stop, or at very least that they would get it under some kind of control. But yes, and so it starts.....

I was reading tonight that they are thinking omicron is more easily transmitted from person to person. Where the delta variant took a few months to takeover a community the omicron took two weeks. But todays reading brought more pleasant news, Omicron appears to be a milder disease. So far at least.

Rise and shine, it snowed a few inches through the night....just enough to make it look pretty. I wish that it would just stay that way all Winter.

I do like a small amount of snow. If that happens, usually it melts on the roads here but stays in the yards. That is MY idea of a snowfall. Good luck with that idea, Sunny.

The winds are awful today, I am glad that I have nowhere to go. I just mopped myself into a corner while I wait for my floors to dry.

They just announced that they fired two doctors in our province for refusing to get vaccinated, they had until midnight last night to get their shot. The restrictions are starting to get more advanced....this past week they also fired a few bus drivers and nurses.

You have to wonder what makes people tick that do not want to get vaccinated for something so horrid. Especially Drs. & Nurses.

I don't understand it either. DD got her first vaccination last week, if her boyfriend does not get his by the end of this week.....they will be spending Christmas by themselves. I gave them plenty of warning. I haven't seen GB in a month because of their foolishness.

Gracious...I will hope that your DD talks her boyfriend into getting his vaccinations.
But hey, on the positive side..at least she got her first shot.

Good morning, it is calling for freezing rain again today.....this has been a crazy year weather wise.

I always liked the band Heart, it was a favorite at Karaoke back in the day.

There is no school today due to report cards/teacher -parent meetings, GG and I might go get our Christmas tree today....it looks like today might be the only 'no ice on the roads day' for the week.

I still like "Heart". We have a few CD's & such...

My town had a pop up event today and a friend and I went and did a little shopping. It was 70° and lovely. Was so much fun,

We put up our tree yesterday and GG decorated it last night, she picked out a real tree that is so perfect that it looks fake.

LOL...Perfect is ok. I am sure it is beautiful. Besides, the smell should let everyone know that it is real, right ?? You are lucky that she likes doing that.

We are in for a bad storm/s tonight.

Our weather seems to follow each others, we are getting snow tomorrow changing to freezing rain in the evening.

I think I have fixed my keyboard. It has given me grief for a couple of weeks.

Well, we had the tornado warnings, the thunderstorm warnings, thunder, rain & a little lightning. But thankfully nothing severe. And no tornado, so yay.

Glad that you have your keyboard fixed, Tina. I wondered where you were.

It is cold today but sunny mixed with overcast. I really need to do some shopping but I will have to do it alonr, and so I cannot make myself get ready and go.

I am glad there were no tornadoes, we are getting a snow storm at the moment....turning to freezing rain at Supper time they say. The worst part is that there are surge warnings along the coast line, it will be a mess to clean up.
