Well with your family sick, the best thing is likely for you to just say indoors doing nothing.
Friday night our DD had us over for supper
Then today I went to a party SIL's family has every 4 th. Tomorrow Rod and I will deep fry fish and fries outdoors.

DH is still sick....and getting crankier by the day because of it. He has been sick for quite awhile. Perhaps it is time for him to decide how long this will go on until he will see a Dr. Thanks about the fish. I just set them out in water to thaw...I had meant to set them in the fridge last evening but forgot.

We called for an appt Junie, it took a day for someone to call us back and they said it would take another 72 hrs for a doctor to call. Our walk in clinic is closed and the hospital is on an 'emergency only' mode. DD called for another appt with her own health provider and was told she had to wait five weeks for an appt. Our health care is in such a mess.
Today will be a clean and mop day...it is damp out there, rain for two days ahead.

Oh my, that is such an awful situation with your healthcare. I sympathize with you all.
I wish we would get some rain. The weather guy keeps forecasting rain, and we get nothing.

Good morning, it is pouring out there...my potato plants are enjoying it. Something has been digging in my flower beds. I set the trap and caught nothing but this morning but this morning, one of my plants is dug up and gone. I am going full force on whatever is messing with my plants now.

Well, two nights of setting the trap and I caught nothing....I will not give in though.  The Western part of our province had frost this morning...we barely skipped it. It's going to be another one of those years, our night temps go so low. The pepper plants are stunted.

Good morning, we had a black out with our internet services and such. My internet is back but not my phone and my cable comes and goes.
We had a nasty thunderstorm roll through last night, thankfully we were spared the hail but they got it just East of here.

I am back in Missouri. Sad to say if I would have stayed with my sister, Val is going to our Dentist there that day...she could have brought me back here with her, saving Rod a trip.

Rod made me go just the one day to the signing and then come back to Missouri all in one day, as I had to be here.for him to order the plane tickets..(I do not know why I would have had to be here for that) but anyway now I am back here to get things ready for us to leave. I will believe I get to do this when and if I am on the plane. that

Safe travels and have a wonderful trip, with lots of cuddles and kisses with the grands. Today I will mow the lawn, I did the ditch two days ago....leaving it go for two weeks was not a good idea. I had a snake nesting in it. We had an uneventful trip. ! Alexandra and I are now laying down in the guest room so she will take a nap. We are having a good time with the grandkids.

Junie, I’m confused about your travels. You went somewhere for just the day, then home, and then off again?
I’m in Mississippi. We flew in on Wednesday. It’s hotter than I can imagine but everything is so much greener than at home and I thought NC had big trees. I’ve never seen such gigantic trees as here.

Yes, we drove home to where we used to live for the day so that I could be part of the sale of my Mom's house. Then we drove back to our house in Missouri and bought plane tickets for Thursday to go and visit our youngest DD and her family.
We are going back to Missouri Tuesday afternoon. This was a short trip. Silly really when you stop to consider the price of tickets. But sometimes you need to do what you need to do.

Yes I’m at Ginger’s. Been helping with a little yard clean up and hanging out by the pool. I’ve got an automatic watering system on my garden but that doesn’t keep the bugs away. I hope something survives.

I am told we had a storm move thru here on Sunday night. Rhonda, came and slept next to Valarie 's bed that night. Rhonda had a Vacation at Valarie's house. Rod days there are sticks all over the yard. I need to clean up my yard, but I do not feel good. It is either a cold, or an ear infection. We got home tonight.

Well I rose....but shining is not on the agenda.... Too funny. I had to go pick up GB this evening so I left after supper(he had to go to his twin half sister's(from his dads side) b-day party) so I went for groceries first. I don't know why they had the girls party on the day of their dad's anniversary death.  GB is now attempting to eat everything I bought in one night.

I have admitted to Ginger that I like this town. I was prepared to hate it but I like it. I like her house too and there are a bunch of boys for Colt to play with. He’s at a birthday party right now with 11 other boys. I hope he likes school. Ginger likes her job as the CEO of the YMCA and Chris likes his job as Head of School.

Oops...sorry Sheri.. " Rhonda" is our dog that we got from a shelter a year ago. We would not have given her such a name...but that is the name the Human Society said she came in with, so Rod said he wanted to keep that as her name. Sorry for the confusion.

We are having strange weather, more storms for tonight again. As soon as it gets hot here, the storms start.....we usually get this weather in August though.

Make sandwiches and some cold veggies. Less work for you and they will still be full. That or have Madi make whatever she is old enough to do . She can do something, right ?

Yep, here too. The news said it was going to rain the next few days, so Carol didn't water last night. It may have rained somewhere, but that somewhere was not here.

We are getting rain but it is coming with thunderstorms. I finally got my weeding caught up today....they grow quicker than the plants.

Maybe she took the children to the fair and is tired. I know I am and I haven't done much of nothing I can't imagine living in her climate. I did but then left because a cousin had her children's father die in a car accident. It was awful, he rolled the car and it exploded. I did take Madi to watch fireworks last night though. I had promised to take her weeks ago.

Well Junie, if we can't find something to complain about....we just have to mention the weather.  GB is still here since daycare is cancelled for the week, they take more time off than they are open it seems.

Yep about the complaining. But I really should cut back on my complaining. That is crazy about the daycare. I am sure your DD is glad she has you. Just how does the daycare expect the parents to work if they have noone to help them. So tell me does your DD get her charges cut when there is no daycare, or is that free in Canada ? (we pay dearly here for daycare)

Thanks, no there is no charge when it is cancelled. She pays $20 a day because she is a 'single, low income worker', the day care gets the other half paid directly to them by a subsidy.
I have a bad headache today, the heat is getting to me.

I am glad your DD gets help with her daycare.
I am so sorry for the headache. Perhaps a cold compress, and lying down in a dark room might help. And perhaps some aspirin ?

My DH made the.observation today that when it rains these days the rain seems.to stay in one.area instead of moving thru an area. And sadly it seems in my current town it seems to remain pretty dry. Most places in the are worried with flooding and we either get no rain OR say 6/10 of an inch like we got today. Sorry for you, Sheri. Dry and hot are not good. And also sorry for you, Sunny. Too much rain and heat are not good either.
