Yea, you are probably right, Sheri. AND I too cannot imagine living in her climate. But I bet she would not want to live in our areas either ( the heat we both have ya know)

I did but then left because a cousin had her children's father die in a car accident. It was awful, he rolled the car and it exploded.

I did take Madi to watch fireworks last night though. I had promised to take her weeks ago.

Well Junie, if we can't find something to complain about....we just have to mention the weather.

GB is still here since daycare is cancelled for the week, they take more time off than they are open it seems.

Yep about the complaining. But I really should cut back on my complaining.

That is crazy about the daycare. I am sure your DD is glad she has you. Just how does the daycare expect the parents to work if they have noone to help them.
So tell me does your DD get her charges cut when there is no daycare, or is that free in Canada ? (we pay dearly here for daycare)

Thanks, no there is no charge when it is cancelled. She pays $20 a day because she is a 'single, low income worker', the day care gets the other half paid directly to them by a subsidy.

I have a bad headache today, the heat is getting to me.

I am so sorry for the headache. Perhaps a cold compress, and lying down in a dark room might help. And perhaps some aspirin ?

Junie, I have started wearing a cold, wet towel around my neck...it works wonders.

I wish we'd get a full, dry day....my lawn is a mess.

We’re very dry here. And hot.

My DH made the.observation today that when it rains these days the rain seems.to stay in one.area instead of moving thru an area. And sadly it seems in my current town it seems to remain pretty dry. Most places in the are worried with flooding and we either get no rain OR say 6/10 of an inch like we got today.

Sorry for you, Sheri. Dry and hot are not good.
And also sorry for you, Sunny. Too much rain and heat are not good either.

We always get rain when we need to make our hay...it is impossible to get 3 dry days in a row.
